Humans never really understood her kind, they demonized them, depicted them with horns, wings, tails, and other variations of reptilian characteristics. Called the soul snatchers, baby killers, husband stealers.

One would think some of that would have changed as technology and science trumped outdated fears and beliefs. Then again maybe not, those that tracked ghosts and spirits used technology instead of divining rods after all.

Then again it is tough to track something that can alter it's appearance.

Lara was female, as she could if she chose, bear offspring. She was old compared to humans, but then again almost anything was old compared to humans. While she had enjoyed many nights with monks, nuns, and other supposedly devote figures, it was not for the purpose of corruption. Quite the opposite, being intimate with someone with an all consuming passion for their higher power, was an amazing experience. She'd also been a groupie, as performing musician's had a similar fervor.

She did miss the days when she could torment villages as a dragon, then enjoy virgin sacrifices.

At the moment, she was a statuesque woman of indeterminate age and race, with dark wavy hair and a dangerous smile.
