First off, thanks for taking the time to click on my thread.
I’ve been on and off Lit since the late ’90s, with a long break during the first decade of my marriage. Over the years, I’ve done pretty much everything there is to do online, and I’ve learned that the best experiences came from the genuine friendships I formed.
The longest friendship I had here lasted two years and ended when some personal life issues came up for the other person. It’s been four years since then, and I’m ready to get to know another woman who shares my way of thinking and is open to something long‑term. I say “open” because if you’ve been here longer than a cup of coffee, you know you can’t go into anything with a fixed destination. The best approach is one day at a time.
I’m 50 years old and a pretty simple man. Honestly, I think I’m rather dull, and I’m content with the little things. I’d genuinely like for us to get to know each other and build a real friendship. I enjoy morning sunrises, nature photography, history, sports, and sports games. I also like comics, binge‑watching series, Bob Ross, and good dining. My favorite time of year is October through December—I’m a big fan of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I enjoy older horror movies, not for the gore but for the suspense and atmosphere. Supernatural topics interest me in general.
I’m 5'11", about 260 lbs, with a spare tire. I won’t pretend to be the most handsome guy on the site, but I'm a cute teddy bear. I have dark hair and a trimmed beard with a fair amount of silver creeping in.
I don’t want to rush into anything. I’d like us to connect naturally and build comfort and trust. I won’t send unsolicited photos, and I’m not pushy. As far as the “benefits” side of things, I’m only interested in online interaction, nothing in the real world. I know what I’m comfortable with, and I’m upfront about that, and want you to be as well.
I tend to like the girl‑next‑door or mom‑next‑door look. My preference ranges from skinny to thick body types. I’m open to talking with women ages 20–59. I'll say this that the face goes a long long way into determining if there's a physical attraction there for me.
