Are my votes and comments on?

Happy Thanksgiving!

My new story was posted and I noticed that my votes and comments were turned off for some reason when the story went live. I switched the toggle to comments/votes on, but I can’t tell if it worked.

I was wondering if someone can check and let me know if it worked and if readers can see the stars and comment box. When I go to the story I don’t see them.

Thanks for the help. I know it is a silly request.

Here is the story in question:

No, I can't see either. All that is available is the option to send private feedback. Try again, and if you are not getting a response send a message to Manu and Laurel right away.

Sorry you're dealing with that. I'm sure it's frustrating. Keep trying different things, like logging in and out, refreshing the screen, etc. If it doesn't work contact Laurel and Manu.
Thanks. I reached out to them so we will see what happens. It is a bummer but it is what it is.

Happy thanksgiving!

Gosh, the site responded. So quickly, too.
Yeah, I can see you are in the throes of orgasm over it. It's too bad you never comment when the website fails to respond to all the other numerous issues and problems that authors have. Or maybe you get off on hypocrisy too. Handy, that.

Admit it, you only clicked into that story hoping comments and votes weren't activated so you could come here and gloat. The "yeah" in your response - the disappointment was palpable.

Wow. I am not even sure how to answer that, as it suggests a kind of childish hurt over my criticism of the website. The logic behind your comments is unmistakably childish.
I literally wrote that one quick sentence to confirm that it was now possible to rate and comment on the OP's story. I am often a critic of this website, and for the record, I also voice my support sometimes, but to interpret every word I type here as an attack on the website is ludicrous.

First of all, I am not one to veil my words. I believe I've proven that. If I wanted to criticize this particular case I would have done it in a more obvious way, the way I've always done it. Second of all, this is exactly the type of situation I've never even thought to criticize. This was a likely glitch in the system and certainly not anything that admins did on purpose. It's absurd to think so. Most of all, this isn't the case where the responsiveness of the admins or the lack of it can be judged at all. We don't even know what resolved the situation - was it Manu or was the glitch resolved by itself? Either way, this was such a minor thing that I can't believe you would even think of interpreting my words in such a way.
Geez.

I noticed I can't see any comments on the newer stories, so there must be some kind of glitch.

Not sure if this is related, but..

For a few days already, I've been getting notifications that I have new comments on a story of mine - but when I go there, they aren't showing up. At first I thought they were just delayed as that has happened sometimes in the past, but it's been a several days already, and from multiple different posters. 🤔 So something seems to be malfunctioning.

You can always see the stories in your dashboard. Click on the balloon icon on the right, next to the Settings and Reading List icons.

I just noticed that if I click on my latest story in Mature, for a second I can see the number of favorites and comments it got, and then they disappear. There is definitely something strange going on.

Thanks for that. It looks like the site is having problems displaying comments. Hopefully it gets sorted out eventually, because it's kind of weird with nothing showing up.
