Are We Witnessing The Collapse Of CNN?

President who is opposed to a free press (ignoring his presidential oath) tweets video of him physically attacking the press.

CNN decides to not publish name of Reddit user who admits to posting racist and anti-semitic messages.

People opposed to a free press publish personal info of CNN staff.
CNN staff begin receiving death threats, threats of rape, accusations of pedophilia (pizzagate ring any bells?).

And CNN people are the bad guys?

Squabbling with an openly hostile, clearly partisan press is not "violating his Presidential oath."

On the other hand, the previous administration clearly violated the Fourth Amendment as well as the First when they both spied on and attempted to intimidate reporters to find actual whistleblowers, as distinct from leakers.

O'Reilly was on Beck pointing out that the false narratives are generating income as the elements of the Progressive Left whom hate The Orange Don with a great passions have been tuning in and raising ratings in order to get some confirmation bias. The problem is, that as I have observed with several posters here, these people believe it and when they hear it from these sources, they already know that it's true! It's what they have believed all along.

They were evil people pursuing an agenda to take down the President by hiding behind "Freedom of the press!"

No "squabbling" with them doesn't. Except that's not what he's doing.

Labeling the press "the enemy of the people" and advocating for libel laws that allows someone to sue the press when they post a factual story that is unflattering and posting videos of himself physically attacking the press does, in no way, uphold the first amendment of the constitution.
Which he swore to defend.

He's even gone so far to commiserate about the press with a foreign leader known for cracking down on the free press in his own country.

Now, of course, you'll claim they are, indeed, fake news agencies.
In reality they are actually real news agencies.
And no one has shown any evidence that they, as a whole, make up stories that are false.
Reporting accurately what someone has told you doesn't make it fake news, even if the person who gave you the information later turns out to be wrong.

Fake news is things like Trump saying:

Obama wire tapped Trump Tower

The NSA and FBI tell Congress that Russia did not influence electoral process.

We got 306 because people came out and voted like they’ve never seen before so that’s the way it goes. I guess it was the biggest Electoral College win since Ronald Reagan

While on FAKE NEWS @CNN, Bernie Sanders was cut off for using the term fake news to describe the network. They said technical difficulties!

Look, when President Obama was there two weeks ago making a speech, a very nice speech. Two people were shot and killed during his speech.

You have people who are registered who are dead, who are illegals, who are in two states. You have people registered in two states. You have people registered in New York and New Jersey. They vote twice.

At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is "no reason to be alarmed!

To name just a few of his fake stories.

Yes, labeling the press the enemy of the people is serious. That's why depots throughout history have done it, to get the people who refuse to think for themselves to believe the press actually is the enemy of the people. Then when they start suppressing the press people will cheer them on.

Obviously you don't care if the fundamental spirit of the documents and laws our country is based on are respected or not. That's your call, but some of us do care.

CNN isn't going anywhere......ever. But if the sale to AT&T goes through, highly discounted as it appears now, Zucker and the entire editorial and production staff will. Along with any reporters that don't toe the line.

The media in general, and most especially the DC media, live in their own little echo chambers. They don't have a clue, or really care, about what's happening in 'fly over' country.

Anyone with a web site or blog or a webcam are the press. These corporate propaganda SCUM who use their money to try to brainwash the public and promote one world government and liberal totalitarianism are FINALLY being cut down to size.

Now claiming to be "victims" is the ultimate joke. These are the same SCUM who encourage violence against our elected President. They are corporate oligarchic scum who deserve to be laughed off the air, along with the rest of the mainstream media.

And so is President Trump. On the other hand, we are continuing to weaken and ultimately wake people up to the fact the mainstream corporate media is nothing more than raw propaganda to try to control their brains and the public discourse. Believe it or not, some people still don't realize this. We will keep hammering home the truth that they are propaganda meant to brainwash the sheeple. This is a loooong war, it won't be won overnight but perhaps over decades.

I caught a little Beck on the way home from work. He pointed out that the people who got CNN into so much trouble were all hired en masse from BuzzFeed. He talked about the culture shock that he experienced when he was hired from the talk radio environment by CNN and how much more careful you had to be about what you stated. The BuzzFeed people are probably in the same boat, when they were in charge of the website, they would routinely publish material that no news organization would touch.

Having said that now, to many "news" organizations have made the transformation to "news entertainment" and bashing Trump 24/7 is what brings in the audience and audience numbers bring in advertisers.

CNN will survive because they are in the "news entertainment" business now.

They are becoming that which they hate: Rush Limbaugh.
 
Given that they don't seem to know the basics about journalism, they would be easy to set up for further embarrassment. they are completely unconcerned about whether or not they can in any way corroborate a story. Huge difference between a well-known, well-connected source that gives information on background or off the record and a source unknown to the reporter. If the reporter does not know the source's motivation for giving the information, he ought to be curious and trying to uncover that.

It would be easy to leak information that can be proved to be not true.
