Marissa was the only daughter of Lord and Lady Thomas and Alison Jones. Marissa was spoiled since she was the only child, but her parents also taught her about being kind and fair to the people around her. Marissa grew up to be a lovely young woman who truly cared about everyone. Marissa was 5'4 120lbs with 32c boobs and long blonde hair and blue eyes. At the age of 23 she was the talk of the town in her small town of Legend's Bay.

One day her father came to her and took her for a walk in thier garden. Marissa loves walking with her father, he always tells her and explains things to her about the world and politics. He looks at her and smiles, "you have become a lovely woman Marissa." Marissa smiles, "thank you father, but what is this about?" Her father pats her hand, "Marissa, I have had an offer for your hand from the neighboring village." Marissa gasps a little, "who are they father?"

Alexander Gallatin, 42, was pretty well known as the 'playboy' of his village across the water from Legend's Bay. His parents, Robert and Margaret Gallatin were most respected in the village of Trader's Valley. They were quite disappointed in Alex for not being married by the age of 42 . . . mostly because at their age, all of their friends had grandchildren to spoil and enjoy.

Robert Gallatin was acquainted with Lord Thomas Jones and frequently they had been involved in various financial transactions. Often their business meetings lingered into the evening and over dinner one evening, the topic of children and the lack of grandchildren came up. Although young Mr Gallatin's reputation was known even in Legend's Bay, the offer of marriage from the senior Mr. Gallatin was accepted and plans were made to inform the children of the decision.

Alexander was stunned . . ."What do you mean? I am to marry a girl of 23?" After blowing off steam for an evening, he finally agreed to sit down and discuss the matter with his parents. He finally realized that unless he married Marissa, or whatever her name was, he could very well be cut out of the family fortune, which was quite substantial.

Ultimately he agreed, and his father set in motion the plans for the two to meet. Alexander reasoned, at least in his mind, that being married would not keep him from his philandering ways . . . there were plenty of young ladies in his village that were always available for a romp with him . . .

The morning of the trip to Legend's Bay to meet his "betrothed" arrived; Alexander dressed appropriately and set off with his father for the fateful meeting. Having never met this family, the only thought ging thru his mind was, "I hope she is at least attractive enough to make this worthwhile."

Marissa listens to her father tell her about her bethrothed, and as she listens she realizes she has heard about him, "but father he is a well known philanderer." Marissa's father nods, "i have heard about that, but his father has assured me that it will not get in the way of your marriage." Marissa looks at her father, "you want me to marry a man who will not stay faithful to me." Marissa's father nods, "this will be a good connection for the family. He is on his way to meet you today. You should go up and change into the new dress I had ordered for you."

Marissa goes upstairs, less than excited about the impending nuptials, she had wanted a love match, but unfortunetly that will not happen. She goes into her room and puts on the new dress. She looks at her maids, "well my father at least choose a pretty dress." Marissa's maids help her into the new sky blue dress which made her pretty blue eyes shine. Marissa sits down and the maids do her hair in a pretty fashion and finally they put a pretty necklace on her with earrings.

Marissa's father calls up the stairs, "hurry Marissa, he is here and you do not want to keep him waiting." Marissa looks out the window and she sees the carriage pull up. She waits a little while longer until her father calls up again. She begins to walk down the stairs and she sees her bethrothed for the first time.

The 30-minute ride to Legend's Bay, and to the impressive home of Lord Jones, did nothing to calm Alexander's nerves. It had been two days since his father's announcement to him . . . so he made sure he spent the last evening of 'freedom' with a couple of his favorite lovers . . . god, what a night that was. From what he knows about the Jones family, he is quite certain the young Marissa is no doubt a virgin . . . probably never having seen, much less handled, a stiff cock. Alexander liked his girls tight, but this may be going to the extreme!!

As the arrive, he turns to his father, "Is there any possibility we can turn back?" He knew what the answer he would be, but he had to ask anyway.

"Then, let us go in and confirm the inevitable and make the apporpriate plans."

Stepping into the front hall with his father, Alex sees her coming down the stairs . . . and is immediately taken by her beauty . . . far more beautiful than any of his previous conquests.

Marissa walks down the stairs and greets the visitors, "hello and welcome to our home." Marissa smiles at the two men, her mother had trained her well in how to host and welcome visitors. She stands beside her father and is introduced to first the father and the man who is going to be her husband. Marissa nods and smiles as the introductions are completed. She looks at the men, "shall we go to the den to relax for a little while before dinner is served?"

Marissa leads the men to the den and calls for refreshments. A pretty buxom maid comes in and offers refreshments and flirts with Alex. Marissa tenses as she sits down and listens to the men discuss her like she is not in the room. Marissa's father looks at the two men, "my daughter is my pride and joy, I want her taken care of. She is a good hostess and is also well educated." Marissa stands, "If you men will excuse me I am going to check on dinner."

Marissa walks out and goes to the kitchen, afterwhich she heads to the garden for a walk. She is sadden that she will not see this garden everyday after she is married. She goes and finds the remote bench her father put up and curls up and enjoys sitting in the sun.

As opposed as he is to the marriage, Alexander is also somewhat sensitive to the manner in which the two family patriarchs are discussing their children and the coming marriage like a business merger. Standing, he turns to the men, "Lord Jones, if I may, I shall find Marissa and converse with her . . after all, we should become better acquainted before the wedding."

Alexander finds a servant and asks for directions to the kitchen. finding that Marissa is not there, he asks the flirtatious if she can tell him where he can find Marissa. Although she frowns a bit, she points to the garden and says that Marissa is probably on the bench under the far grove of trees . . . one of her favorite places in the garden.

Alex finds his way into the garden and does indeed find her curled up on a bench . . . and startle s her a bit by speaking to her. "Marissa, I apologize for the conversation in the den. This may be a business transaction for our fathers, but we must find a way to make it better. May I sit here with you?"

Marissa jumps a little when she hears Alex's voice, "i did not think anyone would find me here." Moving around a little she makes room for Alex to sit down on the bench, "you may sit down if you desire, but I will not be staying her much longer, I must make sure dinner is ready on time. I also refuse to spend time with you without a proper chaperone. We may be bethrothed, but I am not yet your wife."

Marissa looks at him, "how can you accept this marriage, you do not know me, and you have a reputation of being something of a playboy. How can you accept the idea of being married to one woman. Unless you plan to keep women on the side."

Marissa stands before he can reply, "I must see to dinner if you will excuse me." Marissa is nervous as she has never had much interaction between men, other than her father. She walks toward the house and tries to hide her shaking hands.

As she strides away, Alex is thinking (and smiling) to himself . . . "feisty little wench" . . . definitely a little life in this one. Rather than create any more tension in the situation, he sits back on the bench. Surely her upbringing was a factor in her response to him . . . soon enough she will be his wife . . . and no longer in need of a chaperone.

Alex has not seriously considered his future with only one woman to satisfy . . . and to satisfy him . . . Marissa has put that thought directly in front of him to deal with.

Walking slowly back toward the house, he enters thru a side door and finds himself in the hall next to the dining room; Marissa is looking over the arrangement. He walks in and the two of them are alone in the room; walking up to her, "I understand your hesitation at what our fathers have arranged for us, and I cannot ask you to ignore what you have undoubtedly heard about my past. All I can ask is that you recognize that the past is just that, the past. I am ready for this marriage . . . which sounds strange even to me . . . but, my dear Marissa, please give me a chance."

Marissa jumps a little when she hears Alex speak again. Marissa listens to him speak about ignoring his past, "I have heard that you have had upwards of 50 lovers. And that you still have women at your beck and call." Marissa decides to take things head on, like she was always told, "I am sure you realized that I am a virgin and therefore I am unsure about what goes on in the bedroom." Marissa looks at Alex and considers him again, "i will try to move past your history, but please do not expect me to deal well with past and current lovers of yours." Marissa looks at the maid as she begins to bring in the food, "please call my father and Mr. Gallatin to dinner."

The two men come in and begin telling thier children what they have planned for the wedding ceremony, which is to take place tomorrow afternoon. The fathers then begin to tell the two what is expected of them when it comes to children, even going so far as to saying when the children should be concieved. Marissa sits and blushes through the entire conversation.

At least she is talking to me . . . that is a start. Before I can proceed any further, she instructs the maid to call our fathers to dinner. OUr fathers sit at the ends of the table and we sit across from one another. As they begin their conversation about children, I interrupt then, "Gentlemen, may I respectfully interrupt this conversation. Any discussion about children and their timing is not appropriate for the dinner table; and honestly, the topic should be a discussion between Marissa and me." Hoping that this will allay your obvious discomfort a bit . . . I smile at you and continue. "I think we have nad quite enough serious discussion for the time being. Marissa and I need some time this evening if we are to be ready for our marriage tomorrow. If you two will consent, perhaps she and I can sit in the living room and talk after dinner while you two retire to the den for cigars and cognac. Is that agreeable with you, Marissa?"

Marissa looks at Alex as he interrupts thier fathers and is surprised at how he thinks about her and what she is thinking. Marissa's father looks at Alex with a smug look on his face, "young man we have to make sure this marriage is fruitful and we are looking out for the two of you." Marissa just sits there and shakes her head. Marissa's father listens to Alex talk about wanting to talk to her, "you young man are a very wise man, wanting to get to know your future wife. I am going to allow you to talk with her in the living room as long as she is willing."

Marissa just looks at Alex, "i am sure we will just be talking so I do not see a problem with it." Marissa stands up and looks at the men, "if you all will excuse me I do not feel like dessert this evening. And father, what will I be wearing as a wedding gown tomorrow." Marissa's father looks at her, "I took care of all the arrangements, you will wear your mother's wedding dress." Marissa nods and looks at Alex, "I will meet you in the living room after dessert."

Marissa goes to the living room, slightly nervous as to what Alex wants to talk about.

As the maid comes in with dessert, Alex turns to her . . . "No dessert for me, I'll just have coffee in the living room with Marissa." The maid makes sure that I get a good look down her blouse as she bows to my request. Sorry, wench, not interested . . . . this is going to be tough enough for me, but my soon-to-be wife is waiting for me in the living room.

Walking into the living room, Alexander sees Marissa sitting in a loveseat near the fire place, with her back to the door. Approaching the seat, setting his coffee on a nearby table, "May I sit with you?"

Marissa sits in front of the fire, many of the romance books she has read mentioned the fire being a romantic setting. Marissa sits and contemplates what kind of man her soon to be husband is, will he be good to her or will be treat her poorly. Marissa jumps as she hears Alex walk in and ask if he can join her.

Marissa looks at him, "yes you may." Marissa makes room for him to join her, "so you said you wanted to geet to know each other, what would you like to know?" Marissa sits on edge and tries to calm down and not fidget.

"Marissa, I can only imagine how difficult this must be for you. Not only has your father made a decision for you that you are not comfortable with, and my reputation does precede me . . . even though the number of my 'invovlements' has been greatly exaggerated."

"I do not even know what arrangements have been made for our living accomodations after the wedding . . .neither your father nor mine has made any mention to me. I do know that both families have additional residences on their estates . . do you have any thoughts on where we should reside. I feel that our fathers are wanting to make all the decisions for us; but once we are man and wife, those decisions become ours to make. Do you agree?"

"I am quite sure that you are concerned about how I will look at you as my wife . . . your have already questioned that. Because I do not want to disappoint my family or bring dishonor to your family, I intend to be the husband that you deserve."

Marissa looks at him as he talks, "well i will say this, so far you are impressing me with your caring for my opinions. I am just waiting to see if you are pretending to care or if you actually care." Marissa decides to ask the question, "how many involvements have you actually had?"

"I agree that once we are married we should be able to make the decisions that affect ourselves. I appreciate you standing up and saying what you did at the dinner table." Marissa tells Alex. Marissa thinks about where she would like to live, "well there is a quiet residence on my father's land about 4 miles away, but I am unsure what residences there are on your father's lands."

Marissa looks at him, "you are going to be the husband I deserve? What do you think that entails?"

"I'm not sure that the actual number of my liaisons is important; more important to you is my stated intention that I will be your husband. Obviously this is a big chamge for me, but in discussions with my father, I have come to understand the importance of family in each of our lives."

"Perhaps the residence on your family's estate would be best; I believe that it would give you greater security if I were to leave the village of my past and become part of yours . . . do you not agree?"

"As far as being the husband you deserve, I believe it entails two things . . . love and respect. At this point, we cannot say that we love each other . . . I pray that will come with time. But as my wife, I must always respect you . . . your feelings, your desires, your opinions. In addition, I know you will find me to be a gentle lover . . . "

Marissa looks a little surprised when Alex mentions his change of opinion when it comes to the importance of family, "well i have to say i am surprised that you realize your liaisons can be an issue, i assumed you would think nothing of them." Marissa is surprised by this man who is to be her husband.

Marissa looks at Alex, "you continue to surprise me when you think about what would give me greater security. I would like to continue to live on my father's lands, but I understand if you have a desire to live on your father's lands, maybe we could split our time between the two residences. I am sure you have a favorite place on your father's residence."

"You are correct in assuming we do not love each other, but I too hope that it will come eventually. Maybe if we find something in common and can share something. I will also respect you as my husband, but I hope you do not mind my father has given me a good education and I like to discuss things with him. I hope we can do that as well." Marissa blushes when he mentions being a gentle lover, "well I am unaware what goes on behind closed doors, but I appreciate you being gentle with me. I hope to learn what happens behind them and maybe come to enjoy special time with you behind closed doors."

Marissa thinks of a question she feels is important, "do you wish to have seperate chambers from me or do you wish to share a bedchamber. My own parents shared one until my mother passed away, and thier marriage is one for the ages. I would like to mirror my own marriage after thiers."

"If we are to be husband and wife, then I see no benefit in having separate bedchambers. The marriage bed is not something to be used only for sex, but also for the imtimacy of being together when we go to sleep and wake up next to each other in ther morning."

"And, my feeling is that we need to establish our home in one place . . and on your family's estate seems the most appropriate. Of course, I will still be involved with my father in our family business and investments, but since the family investments are wide-ranging, I can as easily attend to them from here."

"I would be surprised, and somewhat disappointed, if you did not continue to discuss various matters with your father . . . marriage is not supposed to take us away from family, but rather enhance it . . . probably a surprising thought to hear from me. At some time in the future, I would hope that I might be included in some of your discussions with your father."

Marissa smiles when she hears Alex discuss the special bond that can happen in a marriage bed, "I am glad to hear you say that. My mom told me before she passed away that she and my dad had special conversations when they laid in bed, just talking about random things of no consequence." Marissa goes on to say, "so you mean like cuddling during the night?" Marissa thinks so far marriage does not sound so bad.

Marissa nods her head, "I understand that you think we should base ourselves in one place, but I am open to visiting your family or my family as often as you think is wise. I do think we should try and live kind of away from our family for awhile, just so we can try and get to know each other better and try to adjust being a family ourselves." She is slowly adjusting to the idea of having a husband, "I was wondering, how do you see the role of a wife? I can't imagine being just a silent person who is only an extension of her husband, I would like to be a partner and work together with you, when im not pregnant." Marissa blushes again at the mention of being pregnant.

"While I like discussing things with my father, I would hope that you and I would be able to develop a relationship where we can talk and discuss as well." Marissa wants to be open with her soon to be husband. "I just don't think I can be the wife who sits quietly and never speaks diferent from her husband."

"Marissa, it obviously is going to take quite a few conversations between the two of us to develop any kind of a relationship. As I take over more and more of my father's business, I would be pleased to be able to discuss matters with you. I'm not sure how Father would feel about that, but then again, how you and I handle such matters is our decision, not his. My mother was never involved in any of his business decisions."

"And yes, my dear, I do mean cuddling at night . . . and just talking about whatever comes to mind . . . "

"I feel like I am rambling from topic to topic . . . but I am feeling most comfortable with you. I know we are not yet married, and you should still be chaperoned, but would feel it appropriate if we should take a brief walk outside while there is still some sunlight?"

"I know it will take awhile before we are able to develop such a relationship, but I see it will happen. You, i am not sure if i should admit this, have been able to put me at ease by at leasing seeming to appear to care about my feelings. First at dinner, and again now when we are talking. A few times I have had gentlemen callers, all they did was talk at me instead of with me." Marissa feels herself opening up about herself and it used to scare her, but she feels she can trust Alex.

Marissa smiles, "I do like the idea of cuddling, it sounds like it would be wonderful. I have never actually experienced it, but it sounds fun."

Marissa decides to take a chance, "I know I should be chaperoned as well, but I am going to trust you not to do anything untawrd tonight." Marissa stands and looks at Alex, "I would love to go for a walk, I can show you some of the roses my mother and I planted together."

"I would like to see them . . . if may surprise you to learn that I enjoy working in a flower garden myself. Like you, my mother and I spent many a spring day planting and working in the flower beds around the house."

"We should not be gone long; I'm sure our fathers would like to discuss tomorrow's marriage ceremony with us . . or at least tell us what they have in mind for us."

As we head down the steps from the porch to the lawn, I offer you my hand as you step onto the grass . . . making sure you maintain your balance on the slightly uneven terrain of the lawn.

Marissa looks at Alex, "I am very surprised that you like working in a garden. I figured you were the type to just hire people to do the work for you." Marissa smiles at him a little teasing, "some of my best memories were in the garden we have."

Marissa makes a face at Alex as he tells her about thier fathers, "yes I am sure you are right, I am sure they have the entire day outlined for us. I know my father has my best interests at heart, but sometimes I think he cares too much." Marissa walks beside Alex, seemingly content.

As they reach the grass Marissa looks at Alex, "ok one thing, I no it isn't very lady like, but I love walking without shoes on." Marissa places one hand on Alex's shoulder and takes off her shoes. Marissa picks up her shoes and carries them in her other hand as they walk. Marissa leads Alex to her secret spot by the roses. It looks out over the entire residence of her father's and shows the slowly setting sun.

Marissa looks at Alex and then at the scenery and she smiles softly at Alex.

"It may not be very ladylike, but I find it very becoming . . . you're right, I am usually hiring people to do things for me, but working in the flower garden was one thing my mother and I shared."

As we reach a place in the garden that seems to be hidden from the house, yet looks out over a view that is incredible, I realize that you are slowly gaining a bit more trust in me . . . that I will not take advantage of you (as I might have most of my earlier conquests) . . .

"As much as I want to stand here with you and enjoy this moment, we should be headed in . . . before they send someone out to look for us." As we turn to head back, I place a finger under your chin and tilt your face toward mine . . . I really want to kiss you at this instant, but not yet . . "Marissa, you are beautiful . . . I am looking forward to becoming your husband tomorrow."

Marissa smiles as Alex seems to be opening up to her, "maybe you and I can work together in the flower garden." Marissa suggests shyly. Marissa hopes this might be the beginning of finding a common bond with her soon to be husband.

Marissa blushes, she knows that if he wanted to Alex could ravage her and no one would know. However, she can tell Alex won't misuse the trust she has slowly started to give him. Marissa looks at Alex, "when we are married, can we watch the sunset sometimes? Sunset is one of my favorite times of the day. Sunrise is one of the other favorites. I also think they are the most pretty times of the day."

Marissa turns and looks at Alex as he talks, she blushes as he tells her that she is beautiful. Immediatly Marissa starts to talk, "I am not beautiful, but I appreciate you thinking so." Marissa looks at him, "I appreciate you not taking advantage, when you very well could have. However, I do have a question. Why did you not kiss me?"
