An artilect brain is a single celled organism called a stem cell.
Tiny electrodes and digital pathways are embeded in the cell, so it actually programs itself as it grows.
The researcher and developer of this technology says it would be ready for sociaty by 2030 - 2035 (more likely 2040 -2045).

Another professor has predicted by 2012, sex robots will become a more common sex toy than the original vibrating dildo, and by 2050, people will have both sex and loving relationships with their new and improved sex robots/androids, like Chi on Chobits.
There may even be an interspeceis marrage between them.

This got me thinking about the morallaty of both buying and using a sex robot like a hooker, putting an artilect brain in it, and falling in love with it (an outer limits episode).

This also got me in Star Trek mode, with the question of slavery and free will.
I guess if we put some kind of timed free will toggle switch in it that only the artilect can access, and with it's concent, it's roommate can temporarily become it's master it would be ok.

Without using the Outer Limits concept of human jealousy making the sexbot go on a murder spree, can anyone think of a good storyline for this concept?
If so, I would like you to help me with this.
I already started with an artilect bill of rights, which includes treating humans in an appropriate manner (such as not hacking into human chip implants).

I have seen the cult film (when I was little and more recent repeats) many times.
Although I admit it has similar themes, the morality of this was really not the issue.
The issue was more of a Planet Of The Apes theme, why androids were taken as slaves, and made so lifelike they thought humans were too inferior to live, and fought the human race in a Hitleresque racial cleansing ritual.

Hugo De Garis wrote books that have the same Bladerunner feel, but they don't focus on human morality or artilect rights.

I only have a rough outline that may change over time, so I don't wanna write it here.

Most of the story centers around an electronic show like E3, but it sports the new line of robot hookers instead.

After a few years pass in the story, artilect brains (which were mere prototypes up to now) are ready for the market, and the story plays out like your average nerdy adult anime.

There could be multiple robot sex companies in this as well, like the Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo showcases of sex robots.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprized if Nintendo dropped out of the race like Atari, and Microsoft and Sony were still battling for the robot sex market.

Any I was thinking how one could do this at an artistic level (interactive art), so I started with the most important thing.
