I'm finishing up a short (7 chapter) series and would appreciate some assistance with the final scene, which has a BDSM grounding.
The female main character (FMC) is invited to witness -and eventually participate in- a session between a man and a woman whose relationship has a strong BDSM tilt. The FMC has been recently cuffed during sex and she realized how much it turned her on, even as the sensation confused her. As she witnesses the scene she comes to a better understanding of a D/s relationship, and realizes that it would suit her. By the end of the scene she joins the couple and shares in the dynamic.
What I need help with is settling on the nature of the dynamic between the other couple. I'm leaning more toward the bondage and discipline angle as opposed to sadism/masochism. I want the FMC to come to understand the genuine and caring nature of the relationship while still understanding the ways in which it is different from a more conventional relationship. With that in mind, I'd like perspectives of those who have been in such a relationship, or have read/written enough to comment with some confidence. Ideally, I might want to chat separately to ask a few questions.
Thank you!
