ATT&T gives $1,000 to 200,000 employees as bonus thx to TRUMP

So it literally took me 5 minutes to find that the OP's first post is total crap.

Unions for AT&T employees were fighting tooth and nail to get AT&T to raise their wages for years, long before this tax bill was ever conceived, but AT&T conceded to pay their workers a one time bonus of 1K at the end of the year rather than permanently raise everybody's wages. Which by the way is in total about 7% of the extra money AT&T will gain as a result of this tax bill. Where's the other 93% going? The pockets of executives.

But then they frame it as "We're doing this thanks to this tax bill (Which overwhelmingly benefits us at the top of AT&T)" as corporate propaganda to boost their PR. Which simpletons all fall for.

Meanwhile your tax credits expire in 2025 and everybody earning under $70k a year sees an effective tax increase or income loss.

Oh and the other companies who are joining in with this $1000 bonus are doing it as a publicity stunt.

Meanwhile can anyone remember what happened at Carrier, that company Trump touted for saving a thousand jobs due to his efforts there? Anyone?

AT&T, which is giving $1,000 bonuses to 200,000 employees in the wake of the Republican tax overhaul, is also handing out hundreds of pink slips to workers in Illinois and five other Midwest states.

About 600 workers across a variety of positions, from retail sales clerks to satellite technicians, were notified of the layoffs last week, according to sources close to the situation.

The Dallas-based telecommunications giant would not confirm the scope of the layoffs, but it acknowledged in an emailed statement Friday that it was making “workforce adjustments” in its declining legacy services.

“Technology improvements are driving higher efficiencies and there are some areas where demand for our legacy services continues to decline, and we’re adjusting our workforce in some of those areas as we continue to align our workforce with the changing needs of the business,” the company said. “Many of the affected employees have a job offer guarantee that ensures they’ll be offered another job with the company, and we’ll work to find other jobs for as many of them as possible.”

While AT&T would not confirm the number of layoffs in Illinois, a spokesman on Friday touted the company’s recent hiring record in the state.

I'm not sure what happened to them in the elections, anyone recall? :cool:

No the butthurt is from you, as predicted, who doesn't understand business or economics and cannot read:

What happened in Virginia was expected by those of us who understand the history of Virginia gubernatorial politics. Besides what does that have to do with AT&T?

I know you're kind of slow but here's the obvious point: the left is more than butthurt. We're kicking your asses now in your white supremacist strongholds. There's no way Roy Moore should have lost

except for the fact that the so-called left-wing butthurt translated into monstrous ballot time turnouts.
