Baltimore bridge taken down by terrorists

I find it odd that the ship "supposedly" lost power and steering twice previously before it lost power for the 3rd time and hit the bridge and yet the ship's captain was ok with going to sea in that condition.

The 2 harbor pilots on board f'd up too. They should have halted the ship and called for a tug to return it to a repair berth after the first loss of power event because the ship wasn't seaworthy.

I don't think it was a terror event.
Thankfully, people that operate said ship do not just randomly speculate based on their fear bias and actually perform an investigation and root cause analysis.

So if it wasn't a mechanical failure and harbor pilots not recognizing that the ship wasn't seaworthy, what was it? Something MAGA?

Of course you aren't. You're just chiming in here because you have nothing to say or contribute.

Meanwhile back in the real world...
I'm directly addressing the OP, dipshit.

Once a big ship is underway it can't stop abruptly if there's a sign of trouble. When the steering went out, all the pilots could do was call "mayday" and hope the bridge could be cleared before they hit.

Did you miss the part where the steering had already failed twice yet the pilots continued onward until it failed a 3rd time and hit the bridge?

Once is a glitch, twice is an indicator that something is seriously wrong and the ship needs major repairs. 3 times is either negligence or intent. At the very least it's stupid to send a ship out to sea knowing that it has faulty power and steering systems.

Derpy thinks the ship could just wheelie out of harm's way

Terrorist dementia Joe feels guilty. He will rebuild the bridge with DEI people and it'll be fucked up
I'm sure if Trump gets reelected he will make Mexico pay to rebuild it.

To clarify: the Captain didn't have control of the ship at the time. A pilot did. Going in and out of a harbor like Baltimore every ship is assigned a Pilot from the local area and they have complete control of all operations until the ship is clear of regulated waters.

Comshaw

Expect this disaster to effect the supply chains as well. Baltimore harbor is the primary receptor for vehicles and other goods on the eastern seaboard. Ships are already being rerouted "until further notice."
