It may play itself out before it gets here. Each time I check, the cell has diminished in size.
I hope so. Take care!

It did play itself out before it got here. Last time I checked the radar, there was just a very small blip of green, and that was it.

The robins are gone.
I checked yesterday before all this happened.
I thought they were still too young to fly so maybe something got them.![]()
Baby birds, like your tiny rabbits, are pretty good at hiding in the shrubbery. They can even be quiet when they have to.
Baby owls are foul fowl. Their nests are a pile of twigs covered with a layer of guano. We were out with the Audobon Society doing a raptor walk one year. Got to a nest box and lowered it down for inspection and banding the owlets. One little bugger got his talons into my wife's hand. Even after frantic scrubbing and massive amounts of disinfectant, she still got Hell's own infection and needed a week of antibiotics to clear it up.
It looks like a dust mop with eyes.
I'm not certain.
If that dust mop was used beneath one of the beds in my house it could be damn near anything.
I looked it up (can't help myself sometimes)Her nest was in a solid place, though.
The only way any sort of predator could get to her would be if they got on the roof of the house and then hung over the side.
I'm not certain how a raccoon or even a cat could have managed it. And we didn't see any sign of dead things.
How long does it take from hatching to first flight? We saw a few fluttering wings and serious feathers in the nest. Do they mature in a week and a half?
If so, perhaps they did fly away and we just missed it.
And that would be fine.
