For getting clean...
a shower is the only way to go. Soap in a bathtub just leaves scum. And for guys, masturbation in the tub isn't even a consideration. Those floaters are not nice.
Now if I have a partner, I can enjoy either a shower or a bath, but again, if I have to choose, I'd take the shower most of the time. I like the pounding massage and the spreading of shower gel...
...and I think I hear the shower running right now, come to think of it. I wonder if my wife would mind sharing it?

I used to have one of those big old claw footed bath tubs...those were so GREAT to take a bath in with my lover...they are so roomy...but since I've got kids and they could never take a bath or shower without soaking the bathroom, the floor start to give way and the owners decided to redo the whole bath room I've now got a tiny little tub that one can just fit into and a shower...but my lover and I have put the shower to good use too LoL

However in considering the options for nonsexual reasons (whick its very hard not to think of everything in a sexual way...LOL)
-to get ready for work, or to go out I prefer showers -- faster, more invigorating.
-after a long hard day or to really unwind, I prefer a nice bubble bath, reading my book with bubbles up to my chin, some light music in the background. I have an old fashioned claw foot tub that reclines--it is the best for relaxing in.
