hello everyone
I am back! I was staying with my mom for a while but now I am back home, with my beautiful daughter. We are both doing fine. As long as housing can fix my heat in my house, I should be here from now on, although I will be moving in a month or so, so I might be off here for about a week when that happens. Sorry that I had yall worried, but mom doesnt beleive in the internet (my fault when I was younger..damn chatrooms lol).
Hope everyone had a happy holiday and a great new year.
Here are the last pix I took before I had her. I was 37 weeks pregnant.
I am back! I was staying with my mom for a while but now I am back home, with my beautiful daughter. We are both doing fine. The long version of what happened:
I was staying at my moms house and at 4:30 in the morning, I started having real bad contractions about 5 min apart. I had a Dr. appt that morning at 8:30 so I was trying to wait untill then before we went to the hospital or anything. I stayed in my room w/o waking anyone up but around 6:30 my little sister got up for school and I told her that I thought I was in labor, she woke my mom and dad and told them. Now, my parents dont like to wait in the hospital forever so they kinda took their time getting ready, which slightly pissed me off, but I understand why they did that now.
We got to the hospital at around 8 am and I was about 2 cm dialated. The nurse made me walk the hallway for an hour and when I came back I was 3 cm, but the contractions were getting really painful. They tried to get me to walk another hour, but I only lasted about 20 min before I was ready for drugs.
So we went into the birthing room and they got everything ready for the IV. It took 2 nurses and about 5 "pokes" before they found a good vein. Then the IV drugs started to kick in....I was pretty much out of it for a while.
Then around 7 p.m. the meds wore off and I decided to get an epidural...big friggin mistake. The Dr tried to give me it 3 times and it still didnt work all the way. Only my left leg went numb but I wasnt having that jackass Dr stab a needle in my back again.
I got ready to start pushing at about 7:30 but couldnt because Alana was face up and she was supposed to be face down, so they made me turn to my side to try and get her to flip...it worked and I finally got to start pushing about a half hour later.
She was born at 9:33 p.m. and whatever woman tells you that as soon as the baby is out you forget all about the pain, she is lying. That shit hurts like hell, but yes it is definately worth it.
Anywho, there were some complications with me after my daughter was out (I wont go into detail) but the Dr had to stick just about her entire arm up my...yeah. Then when it was time for me to hold my daughter and I cried...lol.
So yeah, thats what happened..pretty much.
