Become a hot tranny?

Yes!

First off, women don't dress like prom queens every day, so wearing a gallon and a half of makeup, a feather boa and a glittery evening gown may sound like fun, but will only make you look like a spoilt drag queen instead of a beautiful woman.

Pay close attention to the styles of regular, everyday clothing that the women around you are wearing. Emulate them. Blending in and 'passing' is really important, so go with the crowd when it comes to style.

If you can't seem to grow your hair out fast enough, a wig is a great option. If you can't afford a really high quality wig, check online for some. Cheap wigs are obviously wigs, they're coarse, too shiny, and they're impossible to style. Longer hair can be styled into different updo's and suchlike, shorter hair is nice when you're in a hurry and don't have time to mess with pins and clips and etc. If you want to blend in better, get one or two wigs in the same color family and in similar lengths so it's not too obvious that you're wearing one.

Pilates. It lengthens the muscles while toning instead of adding bulk. Increased flexibility and gracefulness will help you move and walk like a woman, and eventually your muscles will look more feminine, if you keep up on it.

Cosmetics and beauty care products. I can't say enough about them. You don't have to spend a fortune to look good, but a few essentials will get you started on the right path. If you aren't taking good care of your skin by now, it's a great place to dip your toes in. Exfloiating your face and body (if you have oily skin, daily is okay, normal and dry skin only weekly) will keep the cell turnover rate of your skin very high, giving you a lovely glow and reducing breakouts. A good rule of thumb is that it should take three minutes to care for your face. One to exfoliate, one to cleanse with a cleanser, and one to moisturize. Shaving (or waxing) body and facial hair is always a great idea...but unless you're an old pro, go to a professional waxer the first few times you want to get waxed.

A nice oil free, sensitive skin lotion is a great idea. I like Cetaphil, it's recommended by many dermatologists and is inexpensive as all get out. I use it for my face and body, it's not greasy and never makes me break out.

Cosmetics...They really are a girl's best friend. I like mineral foundation just because I am severely allergic to most other brands, and pretty much all liquid foundation breaks me out in terrible acne anyway. I've used Bare Minerals, and different drug store brands. It's a great way to give your skin that beautiful feminine glow without spending a fortune. I've tried a lot of foundations but I like Bare Minerals the best...it's a little pricey but a little bit goes a long way, and it's well worth the way your skin will look. A very few people are allergic to one of the ingredients in it, so do a patch test on your arm before using. Get a foundation that matches the skin color of your throat, so you don't have to blend too much. It's also a good idea to get two colors, one slightly fairer for the winter, one a little more tan for the summer. That way, if you get a little color you can still have the foundation that suits you, and you can blend the two colors in the spring and fall when your skin color starts to change!

I really love Dream Matte Mousse blush from Maybelline. It's sooo soft to the touch and the colors they have are so natural and perfect. It's only about six to seven bucks for a pot, and the color really STICKS, so it'll last all day. Get some of that and you won't be sorry!

The biggest thing you want to look at when you apply makeup is to be light handed. Black eyeliner is great, but top lid only during the day or you could end up looking like a hooker, or worse...a raccoon! Go with colors that appeal to you, bright colors should always be worn sheer, and if you're over the age of 35, keep the glitter down to a minimum. Fake eyelashes are really in vogue right now, and it's a fantastic way to make your eyes look super huge and really fem and beautiful! I wear them almost every day, so I'm an old professional at applying them.

Underclothes are really important when you're a tranny. Good quality breast forms and padded underwear will give you the illusion of having a more feminine shape....Ebay has fantastic deals on breast forms, bras, padded panties and all sorts of delicious tranny wear!

So there ya go, everything I could think of. The thing with passing is...the more you stick out with heavy makeup, slutty clothes or bad wigs, the less you'll pass. Sexy is natural, sleek, modern and graceful, and if you play your cards right, you might even get by at the airport!

PM me anytime if you have any questions.

satindesire is genius, just wanted to add a second voice to the call about 'dream matte mouse' by Maybelline. The whole line is great, lasts forever too.

if your really serious about it, a corset is a good investment. If you keep at wearing it you can significantly alter your physique. good luck!

Aw, thank you sweetheart!

Good tip about the corset.

It's always a good idea to have a few of those! And here's a good tip with corsets: if you're wearing one under your clothes, make sure the material and boning is nice and thin and close-fitting so it doesn't add bulk or show the lines of the boning under your shirts.

With that note about the corset, be careful. You can alter your physique, but that's not necessarily a good thing because you can do some serious damage to yourself in the process if you're not careful about it. On another note, yes - satindesire, have some kudos on me because that was a good post. A good good post.

Just a little comment but I do think that well shaped eyebrows can make or break a tranny. If you have quite a masculine browline, good eyebrow shaping can mitigate that a great deal. TVs I've met who stand out or fail to 'pass' as satindesire puts it have brows that are either too thick and bushy or plucked to a tiny, thin little pencilled in line that makes them look like panto dames. Most beauty places won't bat en eyelid if you book for an eyebrow shaping and once you have the shape, you can maintain it yourself.

Thanks darlin!

Oh yes, how on earth could I have forgotten eyebrows?!

Eyebrows are suuuuper important. The difference between male and female eyebrows are really obvious, so make sure that you're not over-or-underplucking. A professional waxer will help, make sure that they know you want a slightly thinner, more feminine shape...most men just go in to get their unibrow removed and maybe a little on the browbone, but they don't really go for the nice clean arch that most women idealize.

If you like my eyebrows (which I think are awesome) it's easy to achieve that shape.

Take a white or brightly colored eyebrow pencil and hold it vertically on the side of your nose, lined up to the inner corner of your eye.

Mark a small line with the pencil where you've lined it up, on your eyebrow. That's the beginning point where your eyebrow should start, at it's thickest.

Now tilt the pencil at an angle, starting from the corner of your nose again until the pencil lines up with the outer edge of your pupil. Mark that spot...that's the highest point of your arch.

Now tilt the pencil at a further angle, starting from the corner of your nose of course, until the pencil lines up with the outer corner of your eye. Mark that spot and you have where your eyebrow is supposed to end!

If this is too hard to understand, I can post some pictures of me doing these measurements if it's handier to have a visual guide. Just let me know.

Satindesire is an absolute queen - her advice is indispensable. That was a great post :rose:

The one thing I'd like to add is hand hand hands. Keep the back of the hands and fingers hairless (wax them) and maintain a good manicure (you might want to go to a manicurist for that). If you want to wear nail polish, go ahead, but make sure that they suit you and your personality. Personally, I buff my nails to a high shine - I like the look better. Keep your hands soft and smooth: once a week (or more often) use an exfoliant and 'wash' your hands for about 5 minutes. Leave it on for another 5-10 minutes, and then with warm water, rinse it clean. Apply a good hydrating moisturiser, et voila. Great smooth hands. Make sure your cuticles are healthy, and you're good to go.

Lots has already been covered by the great ladies here but i wanted to add something about lips! Lips are very distinctive between males and females and a good thing to do might be to start moisturizing and taking care of them if you don't already. I am using avon's beyond color plumping lip conditioner right now and it is great at moisturizing and making my lips a bit more pouty which is lovely and super feminine. Also you may benefit by finding a good natural looking lip color because male lips tend to be less pigmented than female lips as well. Good luck.

When I first started wearing makeup as a teen my mother took me to the beauty counter at a department store and let the lady there teach me about which colors will make me look best, and help my features standout in a way that I liked. She also taught me how to apply the makeup in a way that looked fantastic and natural. If you have never worn makeup before I would highly recommend seeing a pro if you feel comfortable. Probably some women out there could use this tip too, sheesh some girls just have way to much!

Another thing that I think really makes a huge difference in passing is taking goog care of your feet and hands. Manicures and pedicures our an absolute must, plus it makes you feel great afterwards. And skip the really long fake nails, they just look trashy.
