Becoming Perfect (closed for Vagrant)

"Need a bit of liquid courage?" He smiled as she asked for a rum and coke. He wasn't surprised that she might be nervous. After all, this wasn't in her job description, and he doubted that she had ever done something like this for a man, especially not one that she wasn't in a relationship with.

"You know where your room is." Her room. The familiarity of it, as if she already had a place there with him. "Go and change up there and then come down and show me, but there's no rush, take your time. I'll just enjoy your company."

In truth he was already thinking of what commands he'd give her next while she was under the influence of the drug. That little bottle was a miracle. He could make himself so rich if he were to sell it, but that would get him on so many watch lists. No, better to keep it for personal use. Like breaking Joy and molding her into his perfect woman, making her want it as well. Making her think it was her idea.

Joy smiled. "Not so much for courage as for recharging. I forgot just how much Jennifer loves to shop. When she realized that I really need some things, she wouldn't let me stop until I found everything on my list. I'm exhausted." Joy laughed. "You'll have to meet her someday, she's a real dynamo." Joy kept drinking until the glass was empty. The butler seemed have a sixth sense about these things, and showed up with another glass and a slice of cheesecake. Joy ate heartily, chatting with Matteo until she was done.

Once she'd finished the cheesecake and her second drink, Joy got up. "Ready for a fashion show?" She smiled running upstairs to try on the first outfit, a casual summer look.
She came down and showed him, spinning around. She quickly went and changed into the second casual outfit. She twirled around again. Then ran upstairs to change into the first dress. This one was cute and flirty, but not sexy. She twirled around and then headed back upstairs for dress number two. She twirled around in this one...now this one was on the sexy side, but still a little restrained. She headed upstairs for dress number three. This purple dress was shorter and showed more skin. She twirled again for Matteo, the dress swirling a little, giving him a glance at her lace underwear. She headed upstairs again for one more dress. This one would be great to go clubbing in or something of that nature. She spun again, the dress barely covering her ass cheeks. "Well that was the last dress. Do you want to see the swimsuits?" She gave Matteo a choice, not sure if he was enjoying himself or doing this out of a sense of friendship.

Matteo watched, careful not to show too much on his face as she showed off what she bought. The outfits got progressively more revealing and sexy. He definitely approved of that. At the last dress he stood and walked over to her.

"You picked out some really nice things, Joy. Though seeing you in this dress..." he paused, standing mere inches away from her. "I have to wonder if you got matching lingerie as well... or do you intend on wearing any with it?" He smirked and reached out to lift the dress over her ass. He didn't move to look right away, wanting to see how she would react first.

"As for swimsuits, no red blooded man would pass up seeing an attractive young woman in a bikini. You did get at least one bikini, didn't you?"

Joy blushed. "I am wearing panties." When he moved her dress he got a glimpse of a lacy bikini cut pair of underwear. She smiled a little, straightening up. "I didn't think you'd mind the show. I do appreciate your opinion." She twirled one more time. "So what was your favorite outfit so far?"

While they were talking the butler brought her another drink, which she took and drank down fairly quick. After that she said "I do have two suits to show you and you can let me know what you think."

She went upstairs and tried on the complicated one, putting a robe on over it, since she had to walk through the house. Downstairs, in front of Matteo, she slipped off the robe revealing the first swimsuit. Like the previous outfits, she twirled for him, showing off the complexity of the suit. "Now wait just a minute and I'll be down in the other one and you can tell me which one is better."

She donned the robe again and went upstairs and changed into swimsuit number two. Returning downstairs, she spun again for Matteo, conscious of his eyes on her body. "So, what do you think?" She asked, covering again with the robe. Through all of this, she didn't realize how turned on she was getting, or that her arousal was starting to become evident.

When she came down with the first swimsuit, he had a fresh drink in his hand and there was one waiting for her on the table.

As she took off the robe, letting it fall to the floor, he raised his glass in approval. He took in the sight of her in the swimsuit she chose and it was obvious that he liked it on her. "Very nice. Very nice indeed. I can't wait to see what you have for me next."

When she showed him the second, his smile widened. "FOr the swimsuits, which one I like best is no contest. The first is good, but it looks like something you'd see in a fashion show... but this one... I can just picture you, body oiled up, back arched as you enjoy the sun, tanning on my yacht. Drink in hand and not a worry in that pretty head of yours." Of course, in his mental image, she had huge fake tits, and big cock sucking lips. But he wasn't going to tell her that. She wasn't ready to hear it yet.

"As for my favourite of the dresses, definitely the second last one. The last is sexy as hell the way it barely covers your lovely ass, but something has to be said for a dress that's open from here..." His finger glided along her collarbone. "To here." and then moved down, between her tits almost to her navel. "Don't you think?"

Joy beamed a little. "I thought you might like the second swimsuit better. Hmmm a yacht trip does sound fun." She drank a little more listening to Matteo's tone of voice. When he described why he liked the purple dress, Joy couldn't help but blush a little. "I don't normally wear something....so revealing, but I felt sexy in it." She took another gulp of her drink. "I think I finally realized that it is ok for me to like looking and feeling sexy. I had repressed that for a long time." She stared off into space for a moment and seemed to return to herself. "I'm sorry if that was inappropriate. I kind of lost myself for a while, and I feel like I'm coming back to who I was all along." She smiled and kept chatting with him a little longer.

Across town, the FBI handler was looking at the latest intel. A grainy photo was under his inspection and the person in the photo looked a lot like Kate. But surely she wouldn't have been at the scene of the brutal murder and beating? Wouldn't she have come forward already if she had been? He looked a little closer. The woman wasn't wearing much, but from the shape of her body, he decided it couldn't be Kate. She didn't have breasts like that.

"Who you were all along? Well, then by all means I can only encourage you to indulge further. As you well know, I've had to bare the burden of expectations as well, and I find being who I was meant to be is far more rewarding. So I would be a hypocrite if I didn't allow you to embrace your true self."

He had no idea if her true self really was the sexy woman she thought she was, Matteo knew little to nothing about who Joy really was. He even doubted that was her real name. But if it wasn't her true self, he would make it true. She was already very different than the woman who had first introduced herself to him. But she still had so much further to go. She was holding herself back, to maintain a sense of professionalism and propriety. He wouldn't be done until there was no sign of either in her.

Joy smiled. "Thank you for supporting me and allowing me to work with you. I feel like I am learning a lot." She stood up. "I should probably retire now, next week will be very busy." She went upstairs and slept in the guest room again. The next morning, she got up early and got ready to go to the office. She went in to work on some updates to Matteo's contracts that she was working on.

Later that evening, after a productive day, Joy noticed a posting from her contact at the FBI confirming the meeting for the following night. Joy was a little nervous, but she was determined to use her newfound confidence to influence the meeting. The meeting arrived faster than Joy wanted it to. The club that they were meeting at had a younger crowd, so Joy put on the little red dress and went to meet her contact. She hadn't been dancing too long before she heard the code phrase in her ear. She danced with the guy for a little while until the unobtrusively went into a back room to chat.

Joy updated her contact with the fact that she had been promoted to the lead on Matteo's accounts and that he was beginning to trust her and let her into his life more. She mentioned the party and numerous meetings. Her handler seemed to take it all in stride until he asked: "Did you get any intelligence about a hit? It also involved two men who got a real beat down." Joy looked him straight in the eyes and denied knowing anything about it. They went on talking about other details and he wanted her to get more information sooner than Joy was comfortable with. "I can't do that." She said more forcibly than she would have before. "He is just beginning to trust me. I can't get you something in the next week." Her handler wasn't happy with the response. "I really need something more on him. When do you think you can come up with something?" Joy sighed. "This isn't an exact science....it may take a while. Why don't we meet again in four weeks? I should know more where I stand then." The handler frowned. "I guess that will work. Contact me the same way."

The handler left first, so Joy took a few minutes to mess her hair up and look a little disheveled. If anyone did look, they would think the two had simply hooked up. She went back out on the dance floor and danced for another two hours just to make sure that no one would suspect anything. Getting home well after 1am, she stripped and climbed into bed with a sigh. She really hated this business at times like this.

While he could have used the drug on her again at almost any time, Matteo chose to refrain. Too many doses, too many changes, too quickly and the odds that she or someone else noticed and started asking questions were too high. So, he exercised patience. He still met with Joy often, and sent work to her office on occassion as well, but the most challenging part was throwing her some meat to chase for her other job.

He was still establishing himself as a power player in the city's underworld and it wouldn't do to have the police sniffing about his larger efforts. So he allowed her to overhear, or find evidence of, some of his smaller plots, but mostly what she was fed was information about his rivals.

It wouldn't be necessarily the reason she was there, but he figured that so long as she was producing active intelligence on someone, she would be given more time.

All the while, he was watching how his previous instructions were affecting her every day life.

Joy unconsciously took Matteo's instructions to heart and began working smarter. First, one of the other junior lawyers kept trying to mooch off of her work, so she bugged his office and got him on tape bragging about it. Then, a superior lied to the bigwigs about fucking the owner's wife, but Joy knew. So she slipped them photo proof and there she was, with a corner office. One more step, and she'd have her name on the door.

She'd become the talk of the office. She'd slowly transformed, to where almost every guy at the office was checking her out, married or not. She'd had to refuse offer after offer, but it was cementing in her mind just how much value was in showing off your assets.

She slowly fed the FBI just enough information to keep them happy, but inside, she was tired of rolling over and taking it. She unconsciously began to view them less as the good guys and more as her oppressors.

It had been a long day, but she still needed to meet with Matteo and go over a new account, so she went to his mansion and waited for entrance. She'd become quite used to stopping by and chatting with Matteo. There was just something about him that called to her.

Matteo was even more fond of the new Joy than he was the old. The way she was playing the game in her office, using whatever advantages she could find, and even making some of her own, it was like she was a whole new woman.

He could tell that her interest in him was more than just the cover, and it had also become more than her undercover assignment. Of course, he wasn't surprised in the least, but that didn't make him any less pleased. Of course, if she was simply a woman he met in a bar, he wouldn't have given her a second glance, but his meddling with her mind made her all the more attractive. She was his plaything, even if she didn't know it.

On her latest visit, they talked business for a little while, before moving to the living room to relax and have a few drinks. It was time he moved on to the next phase of her corruption.

Joy watched as Matteo walked into the room. He had a certain charisma about him, that simply drew her to him. It was as if he was the flame and she was the moth. She didn't realize how he was affecting her with the drugs and suggestions, although, her own brain was filling in a lot of the information. She seemed to lust for power now, even more than she'd ever had. It turned her on even more as well, though she had not yet made the connection as to why she was always so horny around Matteo. She just was. It was almost a fact of life at this point.

She made small talk with Matteo, as they worked through the contracts for the new account. Once they were done, they sat in his study and drank while chatting. They'd become very friendly. Joy unconsciously looked to Matteo for approval and was thinking about discussing a work situation with him....of course it was a little inappropriate since she worked for him, but at the same time, she really valued his opinion. "Do you mind if I ask your advise on a situation at work?" She finally said, unsure of how he would respond.

While Matteo was happy with the changes in Joy's personality and lifestyle, her superiors at the FBI were not. With each report they received detailing her plays at office politics, they had no idea why she was trying to climb the ladder in a job she didn't actually have at the expense of her actual assignment.

There was talk starting that maybe she wasn't the up and coming agent that they all thought she was.

Meanwhile, Matteo looked over at Joy as she asked her question. "Of course. You can ask me anything, so long as you're willing to hear the answer. Deniability, and all that." He winked. "But before you do, I just want you to consider why it is that I asked for a single point of contact with your firm. I know that it's not just you working for me. I know that there is an entire team. So why make a big deal about only seeing one of you? I'll tell you. While I told you when we first met that I am not my father or brother, I'm not entirely unlike them either. One of the reasons my father stayed with our previous firm was loyalty. And I don't mean the loyalty of attorney and client. The loyalty of Family."

He sipped his drink and let that sink in. "I'm hoping that one day you will consider yourself a part of this family. And in so doing, advocate all the more passionately, in court, in negotiations, and in your firm. Now, what is it you wanted to talk about?"

Joy nodded. "I understand what you mean, Mateo. The whole situation is different if someone is considered family instead of an employee." She fidgeted with her hands for a moment. "You know, I've been slowly advancing at work. Proving myself if you will. It looks like there will be a partner position open soon." Joy took a long gulp of her drink. "I'd like advise on how to make myself the obvious choice for that position." She raised her eyes to him for a moment, reveling in his direct gaze, which seemed to pierce her very soul.

Just then, she got a very strongly worded communication from her superiors at the FBI berating her for not showing more progress and threatening to replace her. They also demanded a meeting for the next evening. Joy's face blanched a little as she read the information from them, not realizing that her emotions were showing clearly on her face. Usually, she was better at hiding her emotions, but not at the moment.

Matteo considered her question for a few moments. "Obviously, I don't know the inner workings of the office politics at the firm, so I won't be able to give you too many specifics. But here's the thing, there's only so much anyone can do to make themselves the obvious choice when there are other people in consideration."

He paused and sipped his drink. "But that's the key. The other people in consideration. Take a lesson from my own life. I may not have sought it out, but I would not have been given control of the family if my brother was still alive. Remove the competition, and Partnership should be yours."

Joy nodded as Matteo spoke, surprised at how much his opinions meant to her. She should be more worried about what the FBI would do, but somehow, she was only concerned with what Matteo thought of her. "That makes sense. Sometimes you have to make sure that you are the one that is still in the race." She chuckled. "To change our topic, do you know why your butler seems to be giving me weird looks every time I come over now?" She took a long gulp of her drink. "I don't remember doing anything that he would object to." She laughed.

He chuckled. "I'm sure you didn't do anything that offended him. He's probably just worried about how much time you spend with me. He's been with my family for 30 years, and he can be very protective of our interests and privacy. I'll have a word with him about your presence here."

"So, what's your plan to get this partnership?" He knew she wasn't going to get it. Matteo had no idea if this interest in making partner was part of her cover identity, maybe as a career focused young lawyer, or if she was doing this on her own, but he had no doubt that the firm would not be choosing someone who didn't actually work for them as a Junior Partner.

Joy thought for a moment. "The plan currently is to one-up Jackson so that he's out of the running, but that will be fairly easy." She took a long drink. "Fineman will be harder to get around, he's pretty shrewd....but I'm thinking on it."

Joy was getting in so deep to her cover that she'd started forgetting that this was not what she was meant to be doing. She was simply tired of being walked on over and over. "I guess I'm just going for it." She said with a shrug. "If somehow they don't give it to me, it won't be because I didn't use every tool at my disposal."

She talked a little longer with Matteo, unaware of the thoughts going through his head. She left eventually, heading back to her place to decide on her approach for the meeting the next evening. She knew her superiors weren't happy....but how to deal with them?
