If Bernie (or some socialist like him) made it to the White House, what are thier plans for the biggest bankrollers on the Left, Bloomberg being one of the top? Would they honestly follow through with "redistributing the wealth"/making everything "fair", thus cutting the legs off a ton of the Left's campaigns and legislative initiatives? How was that supposed to work out? Attacking the wealth of the very people helping the Left to achieve...whatever the fuck they currently consider "achieved."

I'm sure he can have his tax minion add a few pages to the U.S. tax code, to carve out special deductions for 'friends of the state'.....ie; ex-nanny-rino-NYC mayors, and 'special' people like that.

I agree. And not really expecting to hear the Left admit the juxtaposition.

Did bernie say he would take their money away or did he say he would make them pay more taxes?

A link would help.

Taxing income as opposed to taxing existing wealth. The OP said bernie will take all their money, so I asked how he was planning on doing that.

So....again....what is the difference.

'Wealth', comes from income. Same places, same sources.

The only difference I see, is time.

I dont care what you see, you didnt, and obviously cant answer my question.

You obviously can't answer mine.

If I earned money, and stuffed it in the bank, you are saying that Bernie, and you are OK with it, can tax me again, on that money I already paid taxes on when I originally earned it? Just because I 'earned too much'?

Can you say.....'double taxation'?

And then next year, if I have all enough of what I had left to begin with, plus more money I earned that year, all in the bank, Bernie, and again you approve, can tax it again?

So.....explain the difference. I asked a question, and YOU have not answered it.

Sandaz and Warren both support wealth taxes.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/

They also have both voiced a desire to eliminate a number of industries from private ownership.

Energy, agriculture, finance, housing, healthcare.....E. Warren also wants to force collectivization on any companies that get out of the garage/basement too.

Yeaaaaaa.....shutting down 2/3 the economy, jacking taxes to the moon, plus wealth taxes on top of that and in the case of E. Warren force collectivize nearly all of what's left over. Pretty typical "progressive" money grab formula.

Wealth tax = annual tax on whatever your total "worth" is....you're renting your life from the government.

Income tax = you pay tax on what you made and then what's left over is yours.

Sandaz wants both. :)

Never heard of socialism with a grandfathering clause.

Never heard of a board Trumpette who understood what socialism is and to what extent it already exists in the United States and helps keep them alive, reasonably protected and secure, and not having to pave the street in front of their house all by themselves.

And the problem is.....one's 'worth', comes from and is attained from what one has earned.
And, his plan isn't a one time deal. It happens.....every year. Until you get to a prescribed level of poverty.

Which is what Marxism has always been about.

If the wealth tax is what you said it is I wouldnt support it either.

Well be prepared to grab your ankles, should you have enough assets, because that's exactly what it is.

Just like an estate tax....only you're still around to take the pounding.

Awww. Isn't he cute. Another millennial that thinks basic governmental services like a military, infrastructure, police and so on are Aaaallllllll thanks to socialism, nevermind such tenants pre-date Karl & friends by hundreds of years.

You decided to chime in on my question, I dont care about your question. See how that works.

I dont think I need to worry if bernie is elected. Besides, I will be too busy laughing.

So you are only on the GB, to be a troll, and an asshole.

GOT IT!

For the most part, yes. But I wasnt in this thread. I asked a question and you replied with a question. That's not how conversations work. Unless of course you doing it to be a troll, or an asshole.

You'd probably thinks so too if you understood what socialism actually was--oh, and if you weren't a Trumpette.
