How about this: when they were kids, they were all disgusted by that "mushy stuff" that grownups do, and they swore to each other that THEY would never get crazy like that. But once they were apart, and hit puberty, they both became sexually active. They also both became incredibly gorgeous.

Now, getting back together, each one of them expects the other to STILL be anti-sex and love, but they each still want to make the friendship work. So they both plan to pretend to be non-sexual. But when she sees him, and sees what a HUNK he has become, she is overwhelmed. But she sticks to her resolution to pretend to be asexual, just like she believes he still is.

Of course, he has the identical reaction, and hides it just like she does. So they hang out, go to movies, do all sorts of non-sexual stuff together, each one lusting for the other but afraid to admit it.

Of course this can't last forever. Someone has to crack first. Which one will it be? And what will finally trigger it? The sight of her bending over to pick something up? An accidental bulge in his crotch? Snuggling for warmth on a cold bus in the winter? The possibilities are endless.

Truth is Stranger Than Fiction

Not just an idea, but a page from my life.

When I was in Kindergarten I was in "love" with a girl named Katie, but being fickle as all women seem to be, she went for another boy. My parents moved and I started First Grade at another Elementary School, she moved out of our district I think because I never saw her again until my Sophmore year in college when she sat behind me in Economics. Still as amazing, and of course fully filled out. And I still loved her and lusted for her too. And oddly, in my Senior year in High School a good mutual friend brought her up, told me she still remembered all the attention I gave her.

Maybe we were meant to be. But that is not the ending of that story sadly. Hope you chose a happy one, I am still a romantic at heart.
