Thank you to everyone who has joined the Tags Portal testing and everyone who has sent feedback so far!

I want to mention one bug that has been reported:

When you are on a Tag Page, and you look at the Date Filters, the filters should be hidden if there are no stories for this tag matching the time frame of the filter. The only date filters that should be showing are on the ones that will show at least one story.

It works incorrectly now. If you are on the tag for "chocolate ice cream" and there are no stories published matching this tag in the last 7 days, then the "7 Days" filter should be hidden. It should not show you that filter, and then when you click on the filter show you zero stories. That's a waste of your time.

We will fix this bug soon so that Date Filters and Categories are hidden when there are zero matching stories. You should only see links that have at least one story behind them.

Right now (from the way I see it) it only shows what the most common tags are.

We are testing the Tags Portal first to catch bugs, improve things, and to make sure that the core elements (for example, the new Story Listing Block) work for everyone. Later we will begin rolling out more parts of the site in the new design.

As authors, it would be nice to be able to tweak the tags associated with our stories.
- Some are bad due to our newness to the site.
- Some were skipped or omitted after submission.
- Some were inconsistent across a series.

This shouldn't require a resubmission of the story and should probably be limited so people don't game the tagging.

It would be cool to sort by stories added to lists. It'd be another window into seeing what people think is popular.

In the future, we will likely use public List data in various ways. For now, we don't have enough List data (only Favorites are available in the current design) to do much with it, but we expect that to change when the new Lit interface is fully rolled out.

The new Tags Portal design is currently on a different URL during BETA. The existing Tags Portal will continue to work during the testing.

Story view

We hope that there will be author feedback taken before the new story view is rolled out.

The fact that the Android App doesn't handle HTML formatting that appears on the web site is already a source of irritation for authors who want to have some say in how their work is presented.
