Sophia climbed into the carriage her heart full and a small smile on her face. She glanced him to where she and Winston were standing and gave a wave as they began to pull off.

She felt her father pat her hand and saw her mother give her smile " Sophia...the king began.. I know my behavior as your father and king has not been the best of late, I've been stubborn and I apologize.. it's nice seeing you smile like this, your happiness as my daughter comes first, you two will be a good fit". He said and smiled shocking her

Sophias mom smiled at her as well and she couldnt help her grin " Thank you Both.." She said and relaxed for her trip back.

Winston saw Sophia wave as their carriage pulled away. Returning the small wave with a smile as it traveled down the gravel path towards the front gate.

Finally turning on his heels and returning back into the house. Making his way back to his chambers and along the way, he saw the maidens cleaning the bedsheets from the room Sophia had been in last night and smiled to himself as he remembered them being together the night before.

The ride back to her palace was smooth and relaxing. She had thoughts of Winston and their future in mind and she was thankful her hand maidens must've heard of their travel and had a bath and fresh clothes prepared.

She smiled thinking of she and Winstons night together and their time together as well happy the two of them had the royal highnesses approval and they were now to be joined as partners.

She knew the Berkshire prince or Alice might not take it well and sighed getting it off her mind as she felt the warm water on her skin and politely asked for tea so she could relax.

The next week went by smoothly. Winston was able to speak with Sophia a few times but they had been unable to arrange their schedules and meet.

Sophias mother and staff had been busy with planning things for the wedding behind the scenes immediately the next week as well as a meeting with her father and the priest about the change of marriage arrangements along with the other kings.

She had rarely been able to see Winston because of busy schedules that week but now that next week was approaching her father offered a private dinner at their estate as a thank you for the hospitality when they had gone there.

She saw how busy the maids and servants were preparing for their visit and chuckled as her father's competitive side came out wanting more lavish rooms prepared.

She was just happy to see her fiancee and would show him her favorite parts of the land there .

The invite comes from your mother and father, asking for our acceptance to a dinner at their estate. My mother beamed as she sent word back of her's and my father's acceptance.

Readying themselves the next day and having the maids bring in a new outfit for me. We all finish and meet at the front of our estate as one of the carriage drivers bring the horses around and ready them for the ride.

Sophia was excited to see the prince again, although it hadnt been too long it felt like it because shebwas used to their meetings every few nights. The received word that the royals were en route and her thrill grew.

Sophia was dressed in the finest clothes and bathed in fragranced water to smell delightful for the Prince Mowsbury and she knew dinner would be delightful. What she hadnt known was her former bethrothed had just returned from his travel and was more than angry hearing the news that he was no longer to Wed the beautiful Sophia and despite his fathers orders to now wed Alice, he was infuriated and headed to the Croswell Estate,

Winston and his parents loaded into their carriage as the driver directed the horses down the path and out of the gates. The ride was quiet for the most part and he thought about getting to see Sophia again after the long days it had been since they were together last.

After a long, slow and bumpy ride, their carriage pulled through the gates of the Croswell estate.

Sophia heard the horns stating that someone was approaching and she made her way downstairs escorted by Finral and was happy to see the Mowsbury crest and carriage approaching the estate.

Her mother and father joined her as well outside to greet King and Queen Mowsbury and thier son Winston.

Sophia couldnt help the small smile on her face seeing him and gave a small curtsy to his parents and to him as he grabbed her hand and placed a small kiss on the back giving her a bow.

Winston climbed from the carriage with his parents after it rolled to a stop. Looking up ad Lord and Lady Croswell stepped from their house to greet the trio.

Winston smiled when Sophia stepped from behind her parents and he bowed to her and them. "Wonderful to see you again, Princess."

Sophia nodded giving him a curtsy as he greeted her and said " Its a pleasure seeing you as well Prince" and smiled.

She also greeted King and Queen Mowsbury with a polite smile and cutsy and smiled seeing Queen Croswell seemed tomtake a liking to them as a couple.

They were escorted to the back of the castle by both sets of Royal guards to the large garden one of her mothers favorite things and one of her many as well at the Croswell estate.

Winston and his parents followed the Croswell's through their house as they were led along by the gaurds.

Viewing the surprisingly expansive garden shaped behind the castle. Winston's mother smiled as she took in the scenery.

Sophia walked alongside the prince as they were escorted to the lavish dining in the the gorgeous garden and she was Queen Mowsbury seemed to admire it quite a bit as well.

She had often come to the gardens to think peacefully and enjoy fresh air. " I hope you all enjoy what we had prepared today, it's French cuisine some of my favorite dishes." Sophia said and smiled at him. " Then perhaps we can get a few moments together?" She said holding his hand a moment the getting a small nod of approval from the royal leaders

Winston took in their surroundings and the feast spread out across the table as his mother beamed at the attention the Croswells had put into their visit.

Holding Sophia's hand as she spoke and thier parents gave an approving nod. He smiled as they released hands and sat down at the table for the meal.

Sophia enjoyed her time with Winston and their pstents ot felt like a very peaceful brunch and the food prepared was delicious as always.

After eating Sophia took Winstons hand and led him out to explore the maze they had in the garden and then the small river at the end of it wanting to have some time alone with him after a few days apart.

She smiled softly looking over and brushed some if his hair back lovingly. " Do you think we should wait a month Winston?.. To wed i mean? I think we should do one sooner to secure both our royal lines and then have a grand wedding snd reception for show? What do you think?"

Winston sat at the table and enjoyed the dinner that had been prepared for he and his parents. Finishing up amd excusing himself with Sophia as he took her hand and she led him out the back into the maze.

A slight game of choosing which path to take, their walk was accompanied with light laughing from their choices. Finally, reaching the small river, he turned and listened to Sophia as she asked.

"Why the rush? I'm not sure how we could convince our parents to move it up? Do you want to try that and they cancel it completely?" He asked softly.

Sophianshook her head at that " No love i suppose you're right she said softly admiring the water and held his hand. She knew both kings tempers and didnt wantnto tempt them with even an idea of canceling because she was certain at how hard the queens had worked to mget them to even cordial terms.

She his cheek gently then placed a soft quick kiss on his lips " Just eager to finally be fully yours is all, we're nearly to the next month , i can be patient" she smiled

She lay back relaxing a momnet before she heard a voice shouting her name a froze a second sitting up slightly, the voice sounded a little distressed, the voice sounded like.. like her previosusly bethrothed " Jamees ?.." she wondered before she saw Finral and Winstons personal guard coming to escort the two off somewhere more safely.

" What is going on?" Sophia asked anxiously

"It would appear Prince James is quite upset with the new bethrothment and demands to see Princess Sophia and the King, he snuck on the property somehow after being denied entry at the gates and is upset, we are handling it" Finral said matyer of factly " Until then, we'll take you two away momentarily "

Winston was enjoying their alone time together. He could see their relationship would often be settling and he could find comfort in Sophis when necessary. Leaning his face against her hand, his lips met hers and returned the kiss.

Their comfortable silence was broken by the sound of her voice being called out through the maze and suddenly the two personal gaurds appeared and began to explain the situatuon.

Winston stood with Sophia as the gaurds mentioned taking them away. Following the two as they were ushered away.

Sophia nodded following Winston and the guards discreetly off property somewhere beautful and private little beyond their land into the wood and she spotted the beautiful view and creek there.

She admired it holding Winstons hand and enjoying hid company and glanced back at the direction they came from and sighed " James truly is a fool to pull this what is he thinking?" She said frustrated

Winston followed the gaurds as they led he and Sophia away from the property to a secluded spot. "Stay here until we come and get you when we know its safe." Finral told them both as they hurried away.

He held Sophia's hand as she looked back. "He clearly isnt happy with you ending the engagement with him." Winston said plainly.

Sophia sighed and nodded at the statement " He is arrogant and lost his new piece to show off when he was away, I knew he'd be upset but I had no idea he'd demand to see me it's a bit bizarre now that the decision has been made, I fully intend on being your queen." She said and lifted his hand and kissed it lovingly

" I assume Alice wasn't happy with the news either.." She said and looked at him not hearing anything of her reaction.

Winston listened as Sophia spoke about James and how arrogant and upset he would be, naturally, at losing her. He smiled at her as she placed the soft kiss across his knuckles before shaking his head.

"No she wasnt very happy about it but did not vocalize it. She simply ran off crying. I did hear that her father had a few words to say towards my parents but nothing was discussed with me."

Sophia nodded thinking she heard another carriage approach, then yelling, then James shouting outside for Princess Sophia and her marrying a delinquent prince before he was shoved into his father's carriage.

It seemed the two kings exchanged cordial words and apologies and Winston and Sophia were gathered. She chuckled holding his hand and sighed "Will you all stay for the day? I am enjoying my time with my future king quite much "

Winston's parents nod at Sophia's question once they are gathered up and brought back to the house. "Certainly we can stay longer, Princess Sophia." Winston's mother responds with a smile.

Sophia smiled at the queens agreement with her and she decide to give Winston a tour of the castle and then wanted to show him her bedchambers since she had seen his. She blushed a bit remembering how heated things had gotten in his room that late night. "Well prince... how do you like my chambers?" she asked curiously
