Not only an entertainer, also an educator. I owe a lot of how I see the world to bird and Mr Rodgers. An accepting, open mind, is a blessing, not a flaw. No matter what the ignorance peddlers peddle.

The actor is dead, yes, but it wasn't him that children grew up watching, singing along with, or learning from. Big Bird is an immortal symbol, and like Mr. Rogers and his 912 shows, or Bob Ross' The Joy of Painting, what television captured brings them to life, and so long as they are replayed, they'll never die.
Johnny Carson is dead.
Frank Sinatra is dead.
