Mmmmmmmm you know it did hunny ........

It's a skeery feeling, isn't it? eagleyez is from San Francisco, so he has been through a lot of earthquakes and recognizes them right away. I never was in one until this past summer when we had one strong enough to shake our building for 5 seconds or so. It freaked me out.

Hope there was no damage to you and yours. :rose:

"Was". Yeah. I'm buying that.
You're all settled down and normal and vanilla and shit now, sure.

You were the sort of grrrl that I'd have admired from a distance, I bet.

My business partner and I have discussed it and she'd have beat me up in high school. Good thing I didn't know her then.

And Smitty, your car moment made me all verklempt. A marriage proposal and stuff. Way sweet.

*mine are all just about getting laid.*

Actually I was pretty nerdy in school. I never once even had detention. All my wild activities occurred outside the school, and mainly involved hallucinogenic drugs, New York City (or Philly) and rock and roll.

And I was (and am) an utter pacifist. The only time I ever got in trouble in school was getting sent to the principal's office once for refusing to salute the flag. lol.

I would have befriended you. You were weird then, too, right? I've always loved the weird ones. I was saying to ee recently that my main criteria for attraction to another person is that they show signs of being an oddball like me.

Hack, hack, cough, cough. No really.

Well we'd have bonded like superglue then, cause I was the truliest weirdo in school. In 1979 I was sort of a combination of a beat girl and a goth, when all around me was Saturday Night Fever and Michael Jackson.

We didn't call it goth back then. They hadn't invented that yet. But that's what I was, and I have the excessive eyeliner and the Todd Rundgren albums to prove it.

Ally Sheady, is that you?

just thought it was my husbands snoring he can drown out anything!! we are fine lol

Hey, I thought you were Scandanavian-Ikea blond?

Exactly. With the soul of a vampiric goth chick.

it's so frustrating.

...

HI ELUARD!!! So good to see you around!

I must be off for a bit but lemme just give you the key to the kitchen. Help yourself. And the liquor closet's back here.

...and there's the pie case.

Well this is dangerous — I'm a guy, I'm genetically incapable of cleaning up after myself.

I got suspended once. 3 day suspension for changing a date on a library pass so's I could got to the library during lunch. Yep, hardcase, I am. The principle looked at my record (perfect) and that of the two friends with me (similarly perfect) and decided that suspending us for the first three days of semester finals was a bit harsh for a date change on a library pass. Library. Study. Read.

We wound up coming in for three days on Christmas break and working around the school. They let us go after one because, as nerd kids, we actually worked our butts off, and the maintenance guys didn't have anything left for us to do.

I was a geek wierdo kid.

ETA: I was also boring. I didn't drink until I was in college, have never purposefully done any illegal drugs, and didn't date. Okay, well, I wasn't boring, I did travel around Europe without my folks, rode horses, built go-karts, and all kinds of other things, but I was so not debauched like a teenager should be dammit.

Boring? Something obviously was developing behind that good boy facade. Weirdness, apparently, is a fine little flower that blooms even in the absence of the standard debaucheries. :)

I'm feeling justified in my worry today. I went to the ER with arrythmia and moderate chest pain about a week ago. Yesterday, I was given a Cardiac Event Monitor which has recorded 6 significant "events". I stress significant because there are several more that aren't of long enough duration to capture.

Keep me in mind today if you have a kind thought. And I'll be over at this cosy table in the corner by the fire, having a tea and a tasty biscuit with raspberry jam. MMMM ...

<Hands you the "I'm the sickest one here" flag>

Take care of yourself, please! We're dropping like flies here, and we can't afford your absence, even briefly!

Well, this is the truth. I'm rather distinctly debauched these days, as is probably apparent.

:eek::eek::eek:

Please take care of yourself and your lovely , Champ.

*hug*

No way am I sick. I have a condition, like if I were preggers (my gawd, no way... don't even think that!) not a virus or a bug. You're sick. :p

LOL... poets on a porn site arguing about their levels of "sickness." There's a dose of the absurd and if that doesn't cure our ills, then I fear it's too late for the lot of us.

This is a porn site?!?:eek::confused:

*hides the link in his sig*

I see no porn! False advertising!

hey all

I'll be out for a bit. one of our dogs, Nissa, died this morning.
It was not entirely unexpected. She's always had some medical problems. But she was only 7.

I miss her, and we are very sad. carry on, you beautiful people. Back soon.

love and gratitude,

Captain Bringdown

I'm sorry Bijou. Losing a beloved pet is very hard. My dogs have all been my kids, too. I've always told myself that doggies who are not suffering are better off, but I know that doesn't really help. Time does.

Hugs sweet Bijou I know how dreadful you must be feeling ..... my oldest fella is 13 in May and I wonder how long I will have him he's the last of the line I bred myself.

Hey Champ I had a portable ECG strapped to me for 24 hours is that the same thing? My heart jumps beats then thumps in a quick beat not life threatening they tell me just bloody annoying.

If one of my tits is under your hat Homb where is the other one then? In your hand I hope!

I'm not one that believes in heaven, but if there is one, our pets are surely there, for nothing in this world deserves it more.

upbj - Sending you and yours hugs and all the understanding I can muster. You have lost a friend, thankfully there's an infinite space in your heart for friends to find their way to and for memories of those who've passed to stay.

UYS - It sounds like that's a Holter monitor you had. I hated it when I needed to wear one before my first heart fix, it kept me too concious of erratic beats and the flutters. I hope your arrythmia remains a pain in the arse and nothing more.

All - I appreciate all your concern and I'm keeping your good wishes right there in my heart beside my memory of my Dizzy dog.
