Hey folks! I know 'artistic' threads have been tried before, but I just wanted to see how much success we get with this idea.

I love those pics you get where it's black & white with one area picked out in colour - I happen to think it looks really neat! So all of you with Photoshop, Paintshop or whatever, find a pic and have a go - it's actually very easy!

(For those of you with Photoshop - open the pic, select IMAGE > ADJUSTMENTS > DESATURATE to make it black & white and then select the 'history brush' from the tool palette on the left and 'paint' over the area you want in colour).

Below are two examples, one of me and one of a rather fabulous young lady - and can I thank jrc2007 profusly for letting me use one of her pictures - more can be found on her simply sublime thread here.

On that point, if you don't have any of your own pics, ALWAYS ask if you want to use someone elses!

Let's see just how long this lasts - obviously if you want to show your creative talents for other effects, please feel free!!

I love this idea, so here is one that my friend helped me with. I will see what I can do myself with some of mine... I love the look... Thanks for the great idea.

This is going to be an awesome thread! I love all the work everyone has already done. Fantastic.

I'm not sure that I should be this excited, but I am. hahahaha

okay I know it is supposed to be just one pic, but goodness I don't relly own much clothing or abjects that are just one color... so here is another my friend did for me, I think he likes this thread as much as I do.... ;)

The way I do it is bring up the image. Copy it and paste it over the original image. Then I take the copied image and change it to black and white. Then all that;s left is to erase the black and white parts where you want color.

btw, like I said, I live for photoshopping, and if anyone would like me to play with their images for tham, I'd be very excited to do so :)
 
wow such amazing photos you have there, love how you make the look like so much more... more intruiging and have incredible focus to them....

When I look at my pictures, I just want them to say, to show, so much more
I think I might be in love with photoshop
(and sometimes a girl will let me work on her pictures and that is surprisingly...intimate)
