Boob jobs

So... I have around 60 pounds of fat to lose and I'm determined to do it.

And it's gonna leave me with boobs down by my knees.

And I'm thinking I have the money in the bank to have a boob job when Ive lost the weight (just a lift; not a reduction or augmentation). So a boob job is mine if I want it.

Anyone have any experience with this?

My two concerns are -

(1) Scarring that would look worse than droopy tits, even!

(2) Loss of nipple sensitivity when they move the nipples (I get a LOT - a LOT - of sexual pleasure from my nips).

Also, how long til they're healed enough to be played with!?!?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Well, two things...

First, any plastic surgeon worth his or her salt SHOULD be able to serve up ample references of others willing to speak about their work. I will also guess that you have friends who have perhaps undergone the same type of procedure? Ask around in a quiet and discreet way, but remember that all this boils down to your expectations for what you want, which leads me too...

Second, bodies change and if you desire to have the same set of sweater puppies (I do love that term) as you did when you were 18... then you will be inevitably and invariably disappointed. Your doctor should listen to you and it sounds like you seek to firm and reconstruct with an emphasis on sensitivity. Some scarring is inevitable, however this need not be something glaring that takes away from the natural beauty of your breasts. I believe that now they are more of the faint hairline variety than not.

How long you will have to wait until you can play again? I believe the standard answer is "six weeks", however understand that even though this is an outpatient procedure, you'll not be able to lift your arms above your shoulders or even wear a bra for the first several days after.

I hope this has helped.

REALLY helpful - thanks so much.

Nope, I don't want 18-yr-old norks (well, obviously I do, but you know what I mean!) - what I want is norks that look and feel like they belong to a woman of my age (41) who has not been overweight and who has always worn a good supportive bra!

Actually I'm not sure I DO know anyone who's had a boob job. Cosmetic surgery is not something "normal" people have had done until really rather recently, in the UK. Also, all my friends are men (no joke!)

Thanks so much for the info/advice.

Bottom line... and I guess nobody can predict the outcome, so it's a bit academic but.... bottom line, in a straight-up choice between (1) saggy, sensitive boobs and (2) pert boobs with lost sensitivity, I'd go for the former.

After reading this thread I have a few questions for you ladies. Let me give you a little back story first. About two years ago my wife was having chronic back problems my wife is a BBW and had a nice set of DD's. After some thought she came to me about having them reduced. Being a breast man it pained me but I was 100% supportive of her decision I wanted her healthy if they was hurting her back they had to go. So she went from a DD to a C i believe. Now fast forward to the present she is in the process of losing weight she told me when she got down to her target weight she wanted to get implants to firm everything up and a tummy tuck. I told her what ever she wanted to do I would be 100% supportive as always. Now the question for you ladies she had the reduction and did not lose sensation in her nipples, I was very happy for that she always had super sensitive nipples and that was a worry from the start of the thought process before the reduction. Now when she does decide to get implants will that mess up the sensitivity of her nipples or does that depend on what way they put the new implants in ?

I must say I have learned a lot from the how to section of lit. Now that I found it I constantly come here everyday looking for new updates and threads that would help my wife and I out in the bedroom. After 12 years of marriage and being together since the ripe old age of 12. Having our sexual ups and downs my discovery of lit has energized me quite a bit in the bedroom. My wife said the other day that I was acting like I did when I was 17 and that was many moons ago. So thanks again and keep up the good advice.

i had my boobs lifted a year ago, 2 years after my son was born.
They got huge when i was pregnant and afterwards they stayed huge and sagged quite a bit. I lost quite a lot of nipple sensitivity but then again, breast feeding before didnt help.
My suggestion - look into as many dr's as you can find that specialize in augmentations / lifts / implants. Find one that has the most references and look even farther into their history. Dont be afraid to ask around and post on their clinics websites with questions. Or if your confident enough with whatever you have read, make an appointment to speak specifically with that dr, and get as many questions as possible out of the way. write them down if need be.
Hope this helps.

I don't have any real advice to offer but I do know a friend who had a boob job and where she had it done they have a programme where people who have had procedures sign up to be a 'buddy' for those planning an op. It means you have a happy previous customer to chat with who is having the same operation as you. There are also forums you might want to check out: -

Are you absolutely sure what your boobs will do once you've lost the weight? Because if you don't know what will happen, how can you decide already you want surgery?

I've had a breast reduction, so it's slightly different. The scars I have are barely noticeable, except for 2 inches that just healed badly and I haven't bothered to get it fixed. It's under my breast, so it's not even obvious. Most breast surgeries have an 'anchor scar': around the areola, down the breast, and underneath it.

Some people experience a lack of nipple sensitivity, some experience an increase of it, and some find no change. Every person is different and every operation is different. It is a chance that you'll have to take.

I was told not to exercise for about 6 weeks and be very careful 8 weeks, until I felt nothing in everyday activity.

Any surgeon would insist that you lose the weight before you undergo the surgery. Not everyone looses weight the same way, so your breasts may be completely unaffected. In the meantime, you might want to build your pectoral muscles, which could help with the potential sagging.

Hope it answers some questions.

I just had afriend get a pair of enhanced breast for a well known surgeon. After seeing all of the pain she went through. No thank you.

Thanks for the replies, advice and links, everyone. Really helpful.

Perhaps I wasn't totally clear in my first post. The boob job, if I go for it, will be AFTER I've lost all the weight. I am doing my initial thinking, is all. It's partly psychological. I have this feeling that somewhere in my mind the thought of saggy tits has been stopping me from really committing to losing weight. Hence at this point reminding myself that I can afford a boob job and trying to get some feedback that would indicate it might not go disastrously wrong!!!

60 pounds will, realisticaly, take me a year to lose helathily. If I can just concentrate on losing the weight for now, with the feeling that losing it won't condemn me to a lifetime of tit-sag, then this will help my daily eating and exercise.

Oh BTW how do I know they'll sag? Cos I've lost weight before and they did then - and so they sure as hell will this time, ten years later!!!
