Bored in hotel pics

Thanks y'all!!

I just posted this on the coffee shop thread, but it made me feel so good, I wanted to share here, too.

I just had the most wonderful experience. I was all bummed and going to post a pic of my empty coffee mug for everyone to feel bad for me since when hubby is gone no one makes me coffee. Poor me!

But, on the way back from dropping the dogs off at the groomer, I went into Starbucks. There was of course a line including a lady my age with 3-4 assorted young teen girls (about my daughter's age) and an older man in front of me. After the girls had all ordered their frou frou drinks, the lady realized she must have left her card at the restaurant the night before and couldn't pay. After watching her moment of panic for a second, I stepped in to pay for their drinks. It was under $20 and no big deal. But, they were sooooo sweet and appreciative, it made me feel great to be able to help.

THEN... the nice older man behind me bought MY coffee. And to top it all off, as we stood waiting and I told him I had a daughter about the girls' age, he said he had a son about my age (which I doubted, seriously). He said he put me about early 30's - shameless flattery and clearly on an endorphin high. I literally laughed out loud and was thankful there was not already coffee in my mouth. I mentioned I was over 50 and that my interaction with him just made my day in so many ways.

So, cheers to kindness friends!!! Have a beautiful day!

What a great story, pay it forward.

You all have been so patient and kind. I stole a few moments for myself in bed this morning.

It would have been so much nicer (or naughtier), though, had I not been alone.

That picture certainly sparks images of kissing up those things and meeting your hand in such a delicious resting spot. Then reading your adventure at the coffee shop only adds to the need to thoroughly give you a nice reward as you lie back in that empty bed of yours.

Great story :)

Have a wonderful day as well.

What a great story. A perfect example of pay it forward. I hope you continue to have a wonderful day.

i would have never guessed you were in your 50's. you have the body of a 30 year old

That's the best thing I've heard today.

Just goes to prove you are beautiful inside and out!!:kiss

Thanks again you guys!!

AND... went to the Verizon store to exchange my charger and even though it was cracked, voiding the warranty, they gave me a new one for free. Yay!!

Now, if I can keep my cheesecake from falling, it will be a red letter day!

Thank you, Murmurmara. :rose:

You are the first to mention that. It's the sash from my robe and I had intentionally wrapped it around my wrist to elicit a response (from me and others). So, I appreciate your finding meaning in it.

Damn, you are one sexy lady. Love the mix of artistry and naughtiness. I'd love to show up and make it a little less artistic and a lot more naughty ;)

There needs to be more kindness in the world! Great story.

Thank you all for the kind words. It's been an incredibly busy past few days and I'm leaving town for a couple weeks on Wednesday. I hope you will all think of me while I'm away and enjoy yourselves in my absence.

Happy travels, Kitty!!!! :kiss::rose:

Entertaining myself...

Always good for your mental and physical well-being to use your private time 'getting in touch with yourself'. Especially when you are far away from your 'home planet'.

Whatever you do to make the best of such opportunities, and however you go about, I have but one wish for you... That it FEELS GOOD....
