I don't have the same compositional skills or good lighting of the professionals, but I did make this breakfast myself.

Last week I tossed some oatmeal flakes in to the batter in an ill advised attempt to be health conscious. Overly chewy waffles, a tragedy.

This week the experimentation involved grated ginger and orange zest, which I must say was a success.

Half the milk
Separate the egg
Whip the white
Stiff peaks
