BREAKING: SCOTUS allows Texas redistricting map to go forward

But yet, it's perfectly okay when the Republicans do it for the explicit purpose of keeping minorities from gaining representation. Got it.

You see, even a child can see the hypocrisy here. This is what you get when you have a hyper-partisan and rogue Supreme Court who are dead opposed to the Bill of Rights and ignore the Constitution whenever their partisan activist overseers wish them to.
You are obsessed with children! Oh yeah, your a acting member of the Party of Perverts, Pedifiles and Canibals, I forgot!

No. I am OBSESSED WITH KEEPING CHILDREN OFF AN ADULT WEBSITE AND FORUM.

As you are clearly well under 18, that makes you a child- and if I was a board admin, rest assured you would have been 86'ed from this site long ago- and your IP address permanantly banned. (Or rather your parents, since I'm guessing you are using their computer.)

What is it with the Leftoid mindset where they HAVE to make threats of violence?

yeah and Democrats are going to totally take the mid terms based on merit.

This doesn't mean a GOP majority. If the GOP keeps fielding crap candidates, the Dems are going to win those seats.

Having a map favoring your political ideology doesn't guarantee anything if you can't live up to your promises and instead put scumbags on the ballot.
It does mean the Democrats will no longer be able to draw their districts based on race. That was the point.

Let’s review:
  1. Louisiana Republicans drew congressional voting maps that nullified the impact of black voters.
  2. They were sued, and lost. The court ordered the state to draw maps that didn’t nullify black votes.
  3. Louisiana took the issue to the Supreme Court, saying that forcing them to have voting maps that empowered black voters was unfair to the state’s many KKK members.
  4. The Supreme Court decided that Louisiana is allowed to discriminate against black voters.

Supreme Court ā€˜Voting Rights Act’ ruling shows how truly BRILLIANT Justice Alito is…

We just scored a major win, folks.

The Supreme Court just handed the right one of the biggest redistricting wins in eons, and Justice Samuel Alito did it in a way that shows exactly why he’s one of the sharpest legal minds on the Court.

The Court didn’t toss Section 2 in the bin. It did something much more surgical to it. It narrowed how it can be used, and by doing that, it may have turned one of the left’s favorite redistricting weapons right back on them…

See, Dems and their activist machine have used the Voting Rights Act to pressure states into drawing majority-minority districts by claiming that minority voters needed those districts to have a ā€œfair chanceā€ at representation. But the problem with that claim is that once the government starts sorting voters by race, it runs head-first, straight into the Constitution.

And that’s where Alito’s brilliant move comes in.

In Louisiana v. Callais, the Court ruled 6-3 that Louisiana’s newly redrawn congressional map, which created a second majority-black district, was an unconstitutional racial gerrymander move. The Court made it clear that compliance with the Voting Rights Act can matter but said Section 2 didn’t require Louisiana to create this kind of race-based map. This now limits the role race can play in redistricting and could deeply impact congressional maps heading into the 2026 midterms, which is great news for Republicans.

Because if the left can’t use Section 2 to force states into race-based mapmaking, their entire redistricting playbook is gutted. And if Section 2 can now be used to challenge majority-minority districts that are all race and no constitutional substance, then Alito didn’t just limit the left’s weapon… he flipped it.

Show me an example of the GOP re-districting on the basis of race.

Lol....he's brilliant until he rules against your thing

Well you know the quality of a fickle mind:

The next day you want to praise the intelligence and foresight of the same person.
