Some pictures I took on the way down there.. we were caught right in the middle of a hellish sleet, ice and snow pandemonium. I wish I could have managed a picture of one of the many semis in the ditch we passed, or of the cars turned on their side.

The first pic is of what was left of the ice layer covering our car. S managed to chip off most of it, but we left this covering the side view mirror.

Some more snow and ice covered details. The third pic is what most of the intersections looked like... and we're not used to this city, so that kinda sucked... it wasn't even always possible to see whether the traffic lights were red or green.

Looking at the snow it merely reminds me of how we get our weather up here in Canada, it's nothing new so we're pretty use to it. If it had only been snow, it wouldn't have been as much of a problem. And I took most of those pics the morning after, when a thick snow blanket had fallen on top of the huge ice layer covering everything, so that might look misleading. On the way back we passed more than twenty cars and semis laying in the ditch or flipped over. That was the part that sucked (and the huge winds blowing us off the road), not the snow. Oh, and the sleet hitting me in the face so hard I got marks. Ew.
