I do read a lot :) Both classics and smut and everything in between, actually. My parents have a quite extensive library in our living room (which I miss painfully now that I'm not at home).

Happy to hear that you're enjoying the story :) I'm writing as fast as I can, but I have gotten a bit behind on the story dues to being busy lately.

Hmmmm...I have *no* idea why you should be so busy..... :p

It always amazes me when I pick up a book that I know nothing about and get so engrossed in it that I can't put it down. Stupid brain....be less inquisitive !! :D

Sorry to hear about Germany and the Cup. I actually listened to the sports section of the news for once. :) Alright, I also listened during the Olympics, but only for volleyball (indoor and outdoor, used to play), fencing (again, used to 'play'), and curling (my most recent viewing obsession).

And there's that gorgeous vision. :p
Thank you. Actually, the cup left me with a very much positive feeling.

You know what? Third may not be better than first, but it is better than second. I came to that conclusion very recently.

Both second and third place lose exactly one game. France lost to Italy, same as we did, and nobody can prove that we couldn't have beaten France (no speculation about how they looked here, leave me to my dreamy state! ;) ). And while France lost the last game they played and are understandably upset about it, we got a chance to redeem ourselves with the third place game, end on a positive note and celebrate.

And Oliver Kahn got the best send-off anyone could have hoped for, which probably wouldn't have happened had we reached the finals. If leaves my heart warm and fuzzy. And so does the change that has befallen out country. Maybe it's not as good as it would have been had we gotten first, but it's plenty. People are happy, hopeful, they believe, they are proud of their country and have no qualms to display that pride for the first time in many years. The world is complimenting us on our play, our thouroughly positive attitude and our organization of the cup.

I am very happy with how things turned out, overall.

*gets off soapbox*

When I read I'm in my own little world. It drives my mom crazy. She asks me a question, I continue reading, oblivious. She outs a plate of fruit next to me, I continue reading while occasionally putting one in my mouth. Otherwise, no reaction to my surroundings at all. She has to actually shake my shoulder to make me notice someone is talking to me.

Glad to hear it. :) Finally getting around to looking at your stories (I'm betting they're better than my crappy attempts here, I've tried my hand, though I think I'm better at straight non-erotic fantasy). :rose:

then i find out that Zidane still wins the MVP of the world cup

 i'm still flustered over that......he was playing so awesome and his goal was pretty ballzy so i loved it......then he goes and pulls the most bone headed thing i've ever seen

I love fantasy :) As a matter of fact, I have a bit of an idea stuck in my head right now, a story I might attempt after I finish The Hiding Game. We'll see. There's always the non-erotic category, you know. And in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy category, you can often get away with not having hot sex in every chapter.

Please vote, and comment if you like :rose:

The red card didn't change the fact that he played so well, so I guess he deserved it. Maybe they felt not allowing him to be part of the medal ceremony (and several suspensions) was punishment enough. I don't know.

Olli Kahn won the award four years ago despite letting in two goals in the finals. This one I am willing to defend with my life, however, so nobody argue that this was undeserved. It wasn't. He played the best tournament of any of the players in the cup, period.

but 4 years ago the voting was done before he let in those goals......in this case the voting was after the game so i was surprised

Definitely, on both counts (once I get around to reading them, saving to my "to read" file now, probably start reading tomorrow). Actually, the second to last I posted in a series was NE. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to continuing that series yet. Split my free time between an older (and shorter) series and a new continent that popped into my head. :)

Maybe I'll post the older series sometime.

Btw, glad to hear it, on the fantasy loving side. I hope to start teaching more of it in the near future. :)

Yeah, good point. Although I'm glad that the voting this year was at least not based on behavior. Well, I don't know if I'm glad. A good player he is, but the leadership...

I hope you'll enjoy it! I also hope you'll post some more of your stuff, I'll try to get around to reading what you have some time. :)

I read a lot of Fantasy from my favorite German authors as well as english-speaking ones.
