Cafe Nightshade

Lucky saw the dragon at the other end of the big top, luckily he hadn't been seen yet. He plucked a fallen leaf off the ground and leaned forward to talk to his tiny army, "About 20 of you attack the dragon!" A small group huddled on the leaf.

Lucky waited for a small gust of wind and released the leaf, watching it as it glided toward the dragon. The little army leapt off the leaf and landed on Zero's back. About six of them had fallen off of the leaf in flight but the remainder marched their way up his neck and into his ear drum, intent on fucking with him by making the dim witted dragon think he here's voices.

"...They are after you Zero. They want to turn you insided out, you must fly up in the air...." ".....I can Der-rilick my own balls..." "..Hansel, so hot right now...."

Ranken

Ranken smiled at the dazed girl, always keeping one eye on the stumbling image. "what am i doing? i'm after you. you can't just run off into danger. but that thing is going to be- AHH!" Ranken grimaced and moved his hand, the raw stub of a hinger pulling off the metal of the slug gun. "lets just get out of here"

Benjamin

Stepping carefully over the razor sharp shards of mirrored glass, Benjamin makes his way to a secret door known only to him. He leaves the Hall of Mirrors and goes to the entrance to see what is going on. Those who had been trapped in the Hall would have to leave by this entrance so he would see them. He leans his tall frame against the wall, bidding his time by watching for the petty demons that haunt this section of the Carnival.

Tony

She saw what was stored in my soul. All of the horrible and despicable things that I’ve done in the name of my Master. She saw no remorse until now. She felt no pity until now. She knew of no compassion until now.

‘What made you turn like that?’ she asked simply, as her tears subsided.

Such a simple question. I knew that words could not describe the exact moment I lost my humanity. So I let the images tell the story.

…She was beautiful. Her shoulder length hair was like the softest silk. I could never tire of running my fingers through her hair. Her brown eyes drank me deeply each time I looked into them. When her nightgown was removed, I enjoyed the first sight of her body. The previous occasion together had been in darkness and haste. Her skin was as glossy-smooth and white as were her breasts, from her neck to her feet, but I was surprised to see that not a shadow of hair fell over her Pleasure Pavilion.

I was greatly intrigued by this discovery, so I subjected her Precious Flower to a closer inspection. The same jade-white skin continued from her stomach and between the legs, and there was not a single hair in evidence. I ran my fingers over the smoothness, and said, ‘It reminds me freshly steamed roll – warm and soft and full of good things.’

I placed my face very close to the object of fascination and found that it seemed to exhale the natural perfume of a field of spring flowers. And when I parted the Gate to peer inside the Pavilion itself, the remarkable perfume made my head spin with dizziness.

‘This scent could not be bought for any amount of gold,’ I exclaimed breathlessly. ‘But let us enjoy ourselves.’

I allowed myself a further sight of the smoothly white lips that were now welcoming me inside, as I fumbled for the blade of Eternal Life. The excitement of her purity caused me to plunge forward furiously. The blood flowing mingled with her scent and wetness. My pleasure at overcoming the last vestiges of resistance was accompanied by a cry of pain.

‘You have killed me,’ she gasped, ‘please be considerate…’

I was freed from captivity. I lightly played up and down the Pleasure Valley, occasionally knocking at the Gate but made no attempt to invade the Inner Chamber. Soon a flow of essence from numerous deep springs began to flood the valley, magically transforming it. The inundations of the Amazon river could hardly have equaled it, and I quickly found myself swirled along by the current.

I relented by raising both her feet and placing them on my shoulders. I began a series of very slow and shallow movements. The slower the rhythm, the greater the pleasure. I felt like I was casually rowing a boat on a lake. But after half an hour, the waters began to be ruffled by a strong wind, and my slow rhythm changed to livelier movements.

The assaults on the Flower Heart became more powerful, which caused her moans to chance to a series of squeals and gasps. The voice proved to be more exciting than the bare whiteness of the Gate. I could only sense the splashes on my face and taste the metallic-flavored fluid in both my mouth and nostrils. The room weaved into intricate plays of shadows and light in the fading afternoon.

Her exhausted body subsided as it endured the atrocities he was unknowingly subjecting it to. Life was being drained from it with each thrust, the horrid sounds of flesh being ripped apart from within, the growing pool of blood forming all around those shapeless, almost human, masses, dripping and oozing throughout the darkened drenched sheets, a crimson river overflowing the limits of imaginable terror.

I was convinced that I was no longer either a body or a life but part of a movement. The expressions came as a series of explosions and climaxes, paroxysms and outpourings of our Vital Essence inside and outside. I felt myself rushing over the waterfall. I was submerged in a hot and frothing whirlpool, then began to float to the surface. The light was dimming in her eyes. Once I could breathe the air, I was content to the sensation of floating. The torn fibrous muscles rolled down my sweating chest. I could not let her go, not ever.

I wanted the ‘possession’ of her more than anything in the world. Such perfection. Such innocence. Such indescribable pleasure. I wanted her in the most basic way. I could not have borne the loss. And so I kept her for myself for eternity. And oh! How that feeling I had tried to recapture ever since that perfection was in my hands. I could not let go and I was swept away, never to return until you came, found me and brought me back.

Zolt

He straightens up from his prostrated position on the floor, wiping away the first tears he has ever shed in his long and tormented life. His face sets once again in its unreadable mask and he waits a few moments longer for the storm of emotions to subside.

He feels the vampire move and exit this accursed place and goes to follow them but stops as he cannot feel the little girl vampire's presence anymore. Angelina seems to have disappeared, or maybe she is hidden. 'I will have to look for her later' He thinks to himself, 'right now this new creature needs to be encountered.'

He takes his bearings, shrugging off the dirt that clings to his clothes and melts into the shadows following them towards the place where the vampire seems to be waiting.

He finds him outside the only door still leading to the outside and obeserves him from the shadows without revealing himself to gauge its behavior. Nothing seems to imply a threat and so Zolt decides it is time to make himself known. He steps out of the shadows, almost materialising in front of the vampire and says: "Greetings Ancient One, I am known as Zolt."

Benjamin

"My name is Benjamin. I have been trapped in this place for many a year, waiting for people to come and lead me away from this accursed place. I felt an evil greater than any other arrive here just before all of you did. I used my powers to try and release those of you enthralled by the Hall of Mirrors. Now, gather all your warriors together, we will need to attack the Big Top in masse to be effective. This evil makes all of us look like paupers in terms of pure evil. Come let us get everyone gathered."

Zolt

"I am afraid we will have to await their exit from the House of Mirrors. The only one I have a little sway over is another one of your kind, Angelina she is named, and I have lost contact with her when I entered the House. I know not where she is now." Zolt crossed his arms thoughtfully, pondering Benjamin's words.

"But you are right, we need to regroup and devise a strategy. We have all underestimated the power of this place and it would do us good to remain together and head for the Big Top and our most dangerous foe. I feel he is becoming stronger from feeding on the lost souls of the Carnival, and he will become impossible to defeat in short order if he is not stopped."

Benjamin

Benjamin was taken aback by Zolt's statement. He was suprised to hear that Zolt was not the leader of this group. Benjamin would feel the power emanating from the being before him. "Then who is your leader? Take me to them so we may find a way to stop this vile fiend. "

Kass:
Looking past him she noticed the nightmarish thing coming towards them: a reflection of Ranken, but with numerous gaping holes in it's flesh exposing bone and sinew, a large gash in its chest dribbling a trail of blood and bile on the ground behind it. Taking the flame thrower from her shoulder, Kass took a few steps toward the monster and then opened fire.

The creature flailed wildly, thick greasy smock roiling off its burning body as it opened its mouth in a grotesque gurgling scream. She kept the trigger pressed down, leaving the thing submerged in the bright red pillar of flame until it was reduced to a blackened husk as a human being, and yet it still continued towards them. The corpse lunged at her, and she stumbled back out of the way just in time.

"All right," she said, turning to Ranken, "let's do it your way. Let's get the hell out of here!" Without waiting for his reply, she ran through the nearest shattered mirror into the dark corridor beyond.

Ranken

Ranken watched the girl reduce his image into a chared lump of possesed flesh, still coursing it's strange life through it's body and comming towards them. he took off after her, ducking through the frames of mirrors towards the exit. he thought they were going to make it. it must have been slowed down, they were almost out of the place. he stole a look over his shoulder. and there it was. it had not slowed down at all.

Ranken couldn't believe what he was seeing! he slung a leather tube strapped over his shoulder into his arms as he ran and un capped it. Sliding a Dragon TOW rocket launcher into his hands. dropping and spinning on a knee he pulled a rocket out of the worn pack he wore on his back. "Fuck this, you're dying you sick bastard."

The creature was close, maybe only fourty feet away. the rocket slid into it's sheath with a satisfting thud. he closed off the back end and tilted it up. the creature lunged, soaring through the air, but was carried back several feet when the winged bomb impacted with it's chest. the creature then exploded. showering both himself and Kass ion charred hunks of meat.

nothing else moved.

genia

fast asleep in her bed, genia tosses and turns in the grips of a nightmare...

the blue eyed raven haired sorceress screamed defiance at the great lord of the dark.
"you will never have me! i reject these powers..."
the monstrous fire blurred form laughed at her
"do you think it's that easy, my dear? but don't you want to try something? just a little something... a mere touch... and see what would happen?"
he gestures and a frightened little boy appears instantly in front of her. the child shivers and starts crying in fear.
"you bastard! stop it! stop it! he's an innocent child tha..."
ROAR!!!
genia gasped. the innocent frightened child had morphed into a wyrm-demon poised for attack...
the lord turned his heated gaze towards her.
"now what will you do, my dear? the weak wiccan nature spells you know have no effect on this creature. but perhaps now you might realize the price of defying me..."
he smiled, his eyes cold somehow underneath the incorpreal form of blazing fire.
the wyrm demon attacks, blazing spouts of fire from its mouth with sharp talons ready to strike...
genia screams as a lick of fire lightly grazes her arm and her robes begin to catch on fire.....

gasping for breath, genia bolts upright in her bed. she looks around at the familiar surroundings of her tastefully decorated apartment.
"sigh. i'm glad it was just a horrible nightmare."
she reaches over to untangle the sheets from her legs and her arm brushes the comforter...
"ow!!! what the..."
genia pushes back the silk nightshirt and finds a small burn on her arm. a voice in the dark whispers...
"might i mention that what happens in my particular realm of dreams coincides with reality?"
screaming, she conjures a small finger flame and sees the great lord of the dark standing there in her bedroom. he smiles...
"now, you would not touch your powers in my realm even in your dreams, but how about the carnival of carnage? yes, i believe you might have no other options there..."
genia frantically thinks of a spell, a weapon, anything to strike at him before...
"uh uh, don't be such a bad girl. off you go... to the carnival, my dear!"

the world swirls around her. genia screams but the sounds is ripped from her mouth as air starts rushing aroung her body and darkness descends upon her world.

waking up, her throat is dry and stars dance in her eyes. genia, former white wiccan sorceress with necromatic powers, looks around at her surroundings and finds herself amongst the rides in the carnival.

Benjamin

Benjamin is standing next to the vampire named Zolt scanning the Carnival when he feels some new psycic energy enter the Carnival. He can not pinpoint what kind of power it is, but he is sure that it is a different type then what was already here. Maybe different enough to help defeat the Demon . This new energy may be something the demon has not faced before. "Come with me, Zolt, I am sure you can also feel this newfound power emanating from that direction." The two ancient vampires go towards the rides.

genia

still looking around, genia brushes the dirt off her thigh-length purple silk nightshirt. "hmm, at least i'm decently covered. i wish the spots in my vision would disappear though."
all of a sudden, the carnival goes quiet and she feels eyes staring at her back. genia whirls around, but no one is there.

Benjamin

Benjamin and Zolt go around the corner and they see a young woman in a purple silk nightshirt. Ben can feel the hunger running through Zolts thoughts, but grabs his arm. "Zolt, that is the one that may help turn the tide. We need her, and not as a meal to share, at least not right now. " Ben gets closer and calls out to the woman. "Hello, woman, are you lost in here? Maybe we can help you find your way. "

genia

puzzled at the sensation of being watched, genia hears a voice call out to her.
"hello, woman, are you lost in here? maybe we can help you find your way."
she turns around and sees two men walking toward her. they feel strange inside her head... an odd swirly darkness with touches of red and violence surround the auras... genia contemplates the new arrivals.
"hello... and yes, i don't know what i'm quite doing here... what are you? i can feel... something..."
"well, zolt and i ..."
the three froze as an odd growling sound became audible and came into sight. a group of zombies stumbled from between rides and spotted them.

Benjamin

Listening to the woman babble incessantly, Ben misses seeing the zombies till they are right on top of them. He reaches out and pushes the woman behind him to protect her. He shifts towards the zombies, moving faster than the eye can see. He grabs one, using his strength to lift the creature above his head. He dashed it to the ground, denting in its skull. The bone shards littered on the ground, Ben pulls the limbs off the zombie. This will keep it from coming after them. He grabs the second zombie and hurls it towards the rides. The third he will not be able to make it to before it reaches the woman.

genia

genia screams when the man pushes her and falls down on the hard dirty ground. she feels a prick of something sharp and pulls out a piece of glass imbedded in her palm. dripping blood, she sees the other two creatures coming towards her and fumbles for a spell, a ward, anything in her mind. the man rips apart the first zombie and starts after the second. desperate, genia flings out her bleeding hand and shouts at the last steadily approaching creature...
"stop! stop right there!"
as drops of blood spray out onto the zombie, a rush of power leaves her and crashes into the it. gasping for breath and her head aching, she stares in shock at the creature that obeyed her command. tenatively, in a low, almost whispery voice, genia tries another order...
"go back, back into your grave if you have one, and die!"
the motionless zombie comes back to life, lumbers back a few feet to collapse into a pile of putrid flesh and bones. she looks up at the two men.
"hi again... i... i'm genia... i... i didn't know i could do that."

Benjamin

Benjamin looks in shock at the pile that had once been a reanimated zombie. He bows to the woman, "I am sorry that I did not reach the third one in time. It is fortunate that you were well able to defend yourself. " He reaches out his hand, pulling her to her feet. "I am Benjamin and this is my comrade Zolt. We are here pursuing a demon, and have needs of your skills. Join us in our quest, maybe you will find a way out of here alive. "

genia

genia accepts the hand given to her and replies...
"my darker powers come and go, but i would be glad to aid you. the powers of nature are at my command, however. demons..."
she shudders in disgust.

Benjamin

Holding her tender young flesh in his hand, Ben almost goes into a blood lust. He sees her pulse pounding in the veins in her neck. It is all Ben can do to not throw himself on this young woman. "Yes, demons are a different breed, arent they? Come, we are searching for Zolts other companions so that we can kill this demon together. "

Shawnee

The three of them stop at a crane game, Red places some small objects on the controls then BOOM. The ground shook, Shawnee's ears were ringing & the sky rained gemstones. She shook her head trying to clear the Bells resonating in her head. ::Damn! It's gonna be at least 20 minutes til my hearing clears up. In the mean time, I'd have better keep my peeper popped & nose to the ground.:: While she was clearing her hearing problem, the Kid goes off with an old man.

Shawnee keeps following the remain two into an attraction from what the sign said "Petting Zoo". As she enters the Zoo, her sinus pick up all kinds of wildlife of the extremely exotic & dangerous kind. Slowing making her way down the isle, she picks up a familiar scent, so faint that what it was exactly eluded her. Up ahead, her armed companions have a scuffle & cause the demised of a guilded bird.

As the carnaged of the bird death rages before her, the same scent that eluded her before waifs around her. Shawnee takes a long sniff & stands there is disbelief. "No, It can't be." She starts to turn around, when a club come down hard on her head. "But it is, my dear sweet little sister." A tall masculine form comes out of the shadows & leans over the naked female. He picks up the fallen body, craddling her in his arms lovingly. "Soon Lipshin, just like I promise, you will be mine." The shadows swallow them whole.

(To be Continued)
