Caitlin Clark, a degenerate POS...oh, looks like a man

If the black players want more visibility then they need to go out and set scoring records. This gal is a once in a lifetime talent. She should not apologize for the recognition she’s getting for her GAME. Not her color.
Yes, I get that you believe that she should know her place and that you disapprove of her statements and that you think that this is or should be important to her in any way because she's a woman who should know her place.

And that this entire thing is about her and not about you 👍

WTF are you on about? Get back on your meds.

I'm sorry that you don't understand how your criticisms of her are asinine.

You care about what she says because you and others of your perspective made her a symbol of a movement. Now that she says things you disagree with, you are disappointed that she doesn't actually carry your banner of belief. And it's amplified because she's a woman who should know better.

And I absolutely understand that there's a slight bit of ascription here, but that's because your comment aligns with the OP here, which is that she owes people an explanation about her departure from what the right expected of her.

And all of this is worse/hypocritical because of the constant anti-woke drumbeat that comes out of magaville.

The DUDE hurt HIS brand

Badly

and

The COLOREDS will still treat her like SHIT
Lol

Yep. This guy right here has credible things to say on the topic.

The guy who actually reinforces Clark's point. The black players are the violent ones. The white ones are the victims. That is his narrative.

Do you support this position Horatio?

You are reading waaaaaay too much into what I said. No surprise as you Radicalized democrats politicize everything…

It’s pretty simple really. Let your GAME do your talking. I don’t give a fuck what she says after the game. I just said she shouldn’t apologize for who she is. Period.

She’s a top player who said she’s earned everything. I would not argue with her on that point. She believes she’s privileged because she’s white. Not sure I agree with that but if she feels privileged for any reason, that’s great. We should all feel privileged. She goes on to say her fellow WNBA players deserve more recognition. That’s called being a good sport and a good teammate. Great athletes praise their peers all the time.

I think the issue here is that some people believe an acknowledgement is the same thing as an apology.

A question to the OP - what, specifically about Clark, led you to be a staunch supporter of her? I'll go one level deeper - have you ever defended her abilities that didn't also involve race or sexual orientation of her crtiicizers?

SCOTT JENNINGS CALLS OUT RIDICULOUSNESS OF ‘MY TRUTH’ AFTER CAITLIN CLARK PANDERS TO WOKE MOB:

The end of the show, during which they played clips of Clark’s remarks, featured a sort of face off between Jennings and Cari Champion, whom host Abby Phillip quipped “might also be our Caitlin Clark correspondent.” Jennings and Champion have gone up against each other for panel discussions before. And, just like when Jennings was reminding Champion of key facts about CNN’s own reporting on the political balance of X, there were some fireworks.
Just before Phillip called upon Jennings, Champion herself implied that Clark was being treated so well because she’s white. “She has a privilege. She has been in this league for so, what, a year? And she makes more money than the people who built this league? And she understands there’s a reason, not because she shoots the ball well,” Champion claimed.
As Champion and Phillip both wondered, then, why it was that Clark was supposedly “bullied,” Jennings launched right into dismantling the nonsense that is “my truth.”
“Number one, you know, whether you’re an athlete or anyone else, if I hear you use the phrase ‘my truth,’ I immediately then discount everything else you say. Because there isn’t my truth or your truth, there’s just the truth,” he aptly pointed out. Jennings barely got much further before Champion repeatedly insisted that “that’s not true.” When he was able to complete his sentence, though, he pointed out that “when you start using phrases like that, it tells me that your brain has been captured by something that I don’t really respect.”
It’s quite a niche that Jennings has carved out for himself in recent weeks: the only sane person left at CNN.

Here’s a good synopsis…

I’m a college basketball fan. Women’s collegiate games are less than entertaining…until you get to the tournament. I’ll add that’s the case with the men also, barring some made for TeeVee early preseason tourney’s.

I heard all the noise over Ms Clark last season and did tune into a couple of games to see what the hype was all about. She a generational player no doubt. Not a big enough draw to get me to tune into the WNBA…which I haven’t watched since its inception around ‘98 or ‘99?

As the article alludes, and I’ve asserted, she should just ball. Before II74 jumps my shit, she can say anything she wants, but why? What did it buy her? Will it enhance the WNBA? I’ll go out on a limb and say the ones crying the loudest on here haven’t watched a WNBA game lately either…

Here’s my guess why she said it:

When she first came into the league, she took a lot of heat for not being an instant Michael Jordan. Veteran players played physical ball and tried to humble the rookie. Then she started showing she’s not one to be intimidated. She’s now the legit superstar she was was expected to be. She’s also brought more interest in the WNBA. She’s getting tons of exposure now. 60 Minutes, Wall Street Journal, etc. She’s just sharing the spotlight.

That’s just my guess.

Why is she required to explain herself to anyone?

Will it enhance the WNBA? I’ll go out on a limb and say the ones crying the loudest on here haven’t watched a WNBA game lately either…
The ones crying the loudest are the ones who are saying that she was disappointing. The ones asking the questions like you did above. The ones who yelled in defense of her before and now are throwing her under the bus....even though she has never actually said a single word for or against their positions.
She never asked for your support and it's not her responsibility to apologize that she said something that you don't like.

And again..
.the people discussing the "anti-wokeness" constantly are precisely the ones now behaving the same way.

Did you read I thing I posted? I don’t care what she says or doesn’t say. I’m not supporting or condemning. I know reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit, but don’t put words in my mouth.

If anything, I’ve said I think she’s a great player. Now take that statement, not comprehend, twist it, then attack me for what I didn’t say. It’s the liberal way, right?
