Fu Yu is called Fu Ru (fu milk) or tekaki in Taiwan. Actually it is nice to be a vegetarian in Asia. There is a lot more choices there comparing to in US.
(do you want lettuce, onions, brocolli, carrots or beans?)

Actually I can live just with to fu alone. So many ways to cook it.

Question? What exactly is fu? I'm korean born, american raised so you'll need to help me out

I don't think it's called tekaki in Taiwan.

I don't have an answer for the tofu question but just wanted to say hello to everyone.

:)

when they said.."I want to eat your toufu", what does it mean?

It is slang for eating your pussy in Taiwan mandarin... cuz bean curd is sort of soft wet and a bit wobbly

now, eating "tougan" which is the firmer form of bean curd, means the other way around ;)

erc... that pic sorta looks like San Francisco...

sorry to have been so scarce friends... been awfully busy recenty...

hmm . . . interesting, because I've been told it means to hit on a girl.

Chi To Fu usually means taking advantage of a girl.... because you get to chump on the girl....

Yan Jin Chi Bin Qi Lin (Eyes eating the ice cream) means you get an eyeful :D

How is everyone doing?

Yes hong, that was SF, and taken from the coit tower.

no wonder why it looked so weird, but yay!! I was right, it's home. So why were you in my city???

Hmm, I wonder if the China Town and Japeness Town are still the same.

I love the Thainoodles place and Korean BBQ ... Some day, I want to go back again.. :(

Spend most of my 'Goden Years' there ...

Hey everyone! I just found this thread.

I'm Chinese Canadian with some Vietnamese roots.

Speaking of food, I miss Toronto. Windsor is quite lacking in good Asian food. :p

lol, didn't know you were asian, how'd you get here?

I was in SF to join my mom and my aunt. They were visiting a friend living in the Bay area. I always love the city. The chinatown is still pretty much the same, except now across the street from the front gate there is a starbucks. :D
Japan town is pretty still much the same, except there are korean BBQ or Taiwanese candy shop there too. I always love to be there. It is such a charming city.

Hi Lady Flutter, if you are in Windsor, cross the border to Detroit, I believe there are quite a few nicer chiense restaurant at the other side of the border.
And if you really want, take a 6 hours drive to chicago, you can go for a weekend for a "dinner and tour" there. I do that from time to time :D

yeah pretty much, chinatown's more crowded, and dirty, lets see, the stinky tofu place in china town is bad. Jackson's, the last of the Chinese prime rib restaurants is gone.

I will one day. I don't have a car right now...but maybe in a few months.

If I drive to Chicago, I might as well go home to Toronto :p
