Warmth and comfort and sleepiness.... and a smack to the face.
"Ow!" Annalise tried to sit up blearily, wondering just what the hell was going on, but her body was trapped under the weight of Jake's arm, and she only managed to push herself up partway. She blinked the sleep out of her eyes on time to see Jake flailing at something and then falling out of bed, grunting and grumbling the whole while.
By the time he stopped flailing his limbs uselessly and stopped moving to try to figure out how to get himself untangled from the sheets, Anna had sat up the rest of the way, the blankets sliding down her chest to reveal her naked torso bouncing slightly in silently laughter at the look of sleepy frustration on Jake's face. And when he discovered she was laughing at him, he only looked more angry, which in turn only made her laugh harder, out loud this time.
"How do you turn this fucking thing off?!"
She reached over to the bedside table and flipped a switch with ease, turning the alarm off and shooting him a smug look. "Good morning to you too," she greeted, letting herself drop back down to the bed on her side, grinning as he worked to finally start untangling himself properly from the sheets. "If we're going to make this a habit, do you think you could avoid hitting me in the face next time?" she asked, clearly teasing.
