When you try and paste the contents of a story you get a blank page. If you go back it asks if you want to load local or from the server.

Edit - you can get around the glitch by manually typing anything in the story section then pasting it afterwards.

You mean, you can only paste if you first type something in the blank and then delete it?

I don't get that, I can paste right in. You do have to click or tab into the Story Text field first, you can't just navigate to the page and paste.

I recommend you check a few things.

1) Force a full reload on the page (in Firefox and the like it's Ctrl+F5), if there's cached JScript or CSS that's causing issues, that should solve it.
2) If you have extensions running like no-script, make sure literotica is enabled, i personally disable everything that isn't needed on the current site.
3) Try restarting the browser (or computer if other things are bugging out).
4) You might clear your cache (mostly temporary files stored by the browser, may also include download history).

Last maybe check to see if it's in raw text or not (the [ ] next to the save draft button). As well as Tab / Shift-Tab to move forward and back to select the box. I'm not sure if this would work, but it certainly can't hurt. I've seen some tabs elsewhere in browsers where it doesn't select the right thing correctly all the time. May just be outstanding bugs in browsers that crop up at the oddest times.

OK - after trying two browsers - one in private, the other incognito, rebooting, I did some more testing. It was the length of the story making it require to be added to manually typed content.

The length was causing issues? Interesting... I've seen stories in excess of 100k based on how many pages there are. So it would have to be a REALLLY long story.

I mean the various widgets used you can specify a max length, but that is a hard stop rather than something else, suggesting a bug in the clipboard method. I thought we got past all this when we went to windows 95...

It might be a limit for the protection of their system.

Maybe. I don't see why. Entire erotica books of old are like 100k in size, that's like 200 pages on small paperback.

There are 300,000 word stories in the system.

If available space for posting stories haven't been changed, that might be the reason why the system is clogged worse than a toilet full of horse crap

Don't see why length would matter. If you have a hard limit of oh let's say 500k per submission, surely that isn't in a single chapter.

There are huge stories where you can do 10 chapters at a time, or 1 chapter at a time. Or story, sex chapter, story, sex chapter, etc where you could make SFW and NSFW versions of the same story just by including or not including certain chapters.

And size-wise... I worked at a tech company for a little while in 2012, when i asked about deleting stuff from databases they said 'drive space is cheap' so you'd instead just mark something deleted but leave it in the database; And that was long before we were getting 20TB drives, though RAID was still a thing.

Text by far is the smallest (and probably easiest to compress) medium. Even on a super-fast compression level you get usually 50% or more compression.

I'm not sure how much the stories would take up, but in 2020 or so i estimated 200Gb. Seriously, space isn't an issue.
