Love Click & Clack (even listen to the re-runs they have on NPR these days!) and am devoted to my '91 Geo Prizm. I'm gonna apply for antique plates next year if I still have that car. The back of it got whacked two days after I got my license when it was sitting parked in front of my dad's house (some drunk asshole hit it and ran). Luckily, I have friends with sledgehammers, so we were able to bang it back out and refit it with new tail-lights. I just put new Altimax tires on it in December and it's doing pretty great in all the snow we've been having - had it out last night in three inches of the stuff and it did a great job.

My first was a '64 Buick Wildcat. 440 cid convertible. If only I still had that car, what I would do to it today. Next was the obligatory '67 GTO then a '72 Trans Am 455 HO. The only drawback with that car is it had an automatic.

I would take nearly any car from the beginning up through the end of the muscle car era. Up to '93 it's spotty what I would take. After '93 I'm not much interested.

If the money is there these would be my prime cars amoung so many others,

55 Chevy Belair

'66 Chevelle SS

'72 Cuda, convertible, pistol grip, Hemi...

any VW from '69 back

and neither last nor least, the tv series Batmobile.

Yes Brad, pushbutton auto. The car was completed unmoloested when i found it. Going to bring it back all original, even has the 273 V8.

My uncle restores old cars, mostly muscle cars. He had a black '69 Corvette convertible last summer he finished. His cars are drivable, not museum pieces like on that auction show.

I like it when people who restore the cars user them. Cars should be driven. I can understand some being kept under wraps but still to see them on the open road is beautiful.

Well, yeah. He killed himself with the drink...as did his brother, my father. both had horrible PTSD from WWII.

Now his son is into restoring Austins and worked for Ford for about 30 years.

My Jeep is 10 mos old and I'm thinking of getting a Merc GLA.

It's a Cherokee TrailHawk. I love it, but it sustained $5K worth of hail damage before we even had a month together.
