I loved that as well. I read it when much younger; it was only years later that I read "The Decay of Lying" and realized where it might be coming from. Is there anything, really, as wonderful as a beautiful lie?

It's one of the main reasons I write. A good lie can brighten the world and ease the load for a little while.
