I somehow feel obligated to roll my eyes at all that has been under discussion.

LOL. It just sounds like she's planning on keeping you slightly busy.

How's it going CP?

Considering they are neither armed nor dangerous, no monetary reward is offered. Nonetheless, it's your duty as a citizen to turn them on . . . errr . . . I mean in. You can consider it your pubic serivce for the day. For my greater good, and all that! ;)

Well then little lady. Let me see if I can't round up my old badge, and handcuffs and all. Will have to take you into the "interrogation" room of course to make sure there is no chance of mistaken identity by conducting a thorough and intensive search and “seizure” of said offenders. Conducted properly of course behind closed doors to ensure the privacy of said acts… I mean alleged offenders. This may take several hours to complete due to the possiblity of fondling ... I mean finding other areas to explore and "sieze" evidence. Not until it's time for extensive probing will I finally be able to get a grasp on the situtation. When that time arrives, I think I very well may be on top things getting down to the bottom of the whole deal.

Palmetto bugs... They are everywhere. So much so that that South Carolina is "The Palmetto State". Do not buy into the propaganda that the name came from the toughness of the Palmetto trees... It's because when the cannon balls hit the trees, the Palmetto bugs would get pissed off and swarm out of the trees.

*crosses his arms and nods his head* And dat's dah truef!

I thought they got pissed off and threw the cannon balls back. :D

I'm doing all right. oh, lunar is always a handful but very pleasant ones. :)

I quit my job over a year ago and have been spending time at home raising the baby while working on my freelance writing career and spending way too much time playing warcraft, lol. Largely because the baby likes to sleep in my arm and I can play WoW one handed by not write.

As lunar frequently points out she's already a daddy's girl.

*Hands up*

I surrender. I probably need a strip search, too. ;)

Now *that* does not want to make me "come see SC!"

I some how missed out on the Palmetto legends when we drove down 17 through Myrtle Beach to get to Monks Corner when I was a kid. I guess I was fortunate to have missed the bugs, though! Being a NC kid surround by tall, skinny pine trees, I thought those trees were so exotic, like something from Gilligan's Island. All the putt putt courses, too, added to the "oooo" "ahhh" factor.

Let me know how it goes. I always forget we have "tourist" things to do. We have people come from all over the world come to visit the coast of NC and do I ever take advantage of it????
We've lived here for 9 years, and had never been to Cape Lookout. We are going to Ocracoke tomorrow, and my first time there was in April. We have a LOT to see and do around here (that also isn't that expensive), and I just forget about it.

I think October is the best time to go to the beach... fewer crowds and the water is still warm even if the air isnt.
Around here, you can find a lot of beach that isn't over run with the masses. We go to the beach until about mid-November because the water is so warm.... and so is the air most of the time.

Ah HAH! You know the truef about Palmetto bugs too!

Only of the stories my grand dad has told me. Years ago we would frequent the rivers in SC Crappie fishing.

But of course you would.

Hmmm. Surrendering so easily? Seems a little suspicious to me. This interrogation might take longer than anticipated...

Innocent you say? I'm not easily convinced. Am thinking a deep probing into this matter is called for.
