Caught between a rock and a hard case(Closed)

He paused, taking in the sudden boot camp vine he was getting from the olive skinned beauty, who was somehow going to be his drill instructor it some shit?

"What does running and jumping gotta do with me getting a chance to not be a monster?" He asked in a voice that carried interest and wariness. He had to admit a summer on the beach away from dad sounded good. And even better if he lived with her, but the rest sounded like some reality TV bull shit.

"I'll be honest. I'd do just about anything to get out of my dads shadow, but summer boot camp doesn't seem to have the same effect your thinking" he told her with a smile. But he couldn't deny how much he wanted out. Maybe this was his way?

His dad had set this up. And he doubted she would try and pull a fast one on his dad, that never ended well for anyone.

As he mulled it over his eyes wandered over her luxurious hair, sexy classic Latina looks, and a blouse that was well filled. He would at least enjoy himself, as long as she wasn't totally boot camp crazy

"I'm willing to give it a shot" he decided

"But I want my nights to be mine. I decide what we do. If your gonna kick my ass around all day everyday. I need to be able to return the favor" he said with a smile as he sat up a little straighter.

She gave him the same smug smile back. "Not happening. You're under the impression that you're dealing from a position of strength. You're not. I'm offering you a chance to get out from under your old man's thumb. If that's what you decide you want. If not---"

Natalia paused as the waiter came and took their order after setting down chips, salsa and a bowl of green mole on the table.

"Let me ask you this," she continue, dipping a chip in the salsa, "You've been trying to set your own agenda for the last few years with your Dad. How's that working for you?"

He was about to go off on her. Who the hell would sign up for being somebody's punk. But her last statement brought him up short

He hadn't accomplished shit or gotten anywhere

"You gotta give me something of I'm gonna do this. I can't just be your little punk all summer long. But I do really wanna get outta my dads shadow" he said in a voice that started off strong and demanding, but finished soft and resigned.

"I mean it is summer and it is a beach house. I gotta be able to cut loose some time or I might just snap" e said score diving into the chips. All this real life talk was getting him fucking hungry.

"You make a good point," Natalia conceded, dipping another chip in the salsa. "So I'd be willing to work out some kind of weekend pass situation where you go out and hang with your buddies, depending on what kind of performance you gave me during the week. But not at the beach house. That's not going to be a party house even for a minute. Because the minute you try to turn it to a party house, I just shrug my shoulders and hand you back over to your Dad."

"And," Natalia mused, "There'll be down periods during the week when you're not training. So if you want to kick back on the beach, read a book, whatever, that won't be a problem either. But that's going to be another rule. Beach house is not got to have any online gaming of any sort."

"Seriously?" He asked with her comment about gaming

"Fine I won't game at the house. But if I'm out of the house on my time. It's all my time" he told her as he sat up in his seat

He took a drink as he mulled it over

He had to admit. Anything that got him out, had to be a good thing. It was that simple. He just hoped she would loosen up over time.

"Alright you got a deal. When do we head off to this beach house?"

"This coming Monday," she answered, as the waiter brought their meal. "Enjoy your weekend," she said with a smile. "If you don't pull your weight, it may be the last enjoyable one you have all summer."

Late Monday afternoon found a smiling, humming Natalia looking out the kitchen window at the grey skies and the crashing surf of the beach. It might not have been great weather for someone who wanted to enjoy a sunny day at the beach, but it had been perfect for her. She had gotten Marcos up an hour before sunrise, and ran him up and down the beach until he was ready to drop. There were pushup, situps and calisthenics on the deck, as well as an introduction to fighting with pugil sticks. Afterwards, Natalia had run a series of timed aptitude tests on Marcos, to see what areas she needed to work on.

She had changed into loose jeans and an oversized Tshirt to cook their dinner with, leaving Marcos on the couch in the condo's living room. "Marcos," she asked conversationally, "What exactly do you know how to cook?"

He was dead on his feet, well thankfully he was on the couch, barely conscious from the days exertions when he heartburn voice

"Cook. Nothing that doesn't use a microwave" he said as he glanced over at his drill sergeant. She was tuff and unrelenting. But he had certainly noticed just how impressively physically fit she was today. From the running and the work out on the deck. He hated his summer already, but at least the view was nice as he looked at Natalia, not out at the beach.

"Why?"

"At some point I'm going to need to teach you how to cook," Natalia replied, cutting up some vegetables and slices of precooked chicken. "It's cheaper and healthier than microwaving everything and it helps establish an air of self-reliance. Being able to go it on your own isn't just about one or two big acts of independence. It's about a whole bunch of little acts of independence as well."

He slowly got up, groaning at the myriad of aches and pains. He walked o er to the bronzed skin beauty, pausing to watch her cutting up the food

"In sure I can cook. It's not about that. It's just cause I'm lazy"
He said with a smile as he watched her deftly slice and dice their dinner

"I gotta admit your a hell of a lot faster and stronger then I thought you would be" he told her as he reminisced overt he way she had moved today, and the way he had felt after she handed him his ass on the floor with everything they had done.

"You're lazy because you don't know how much more enjoyable life is when you don't always head down the path of least resistance," Natalia responded, as she took the chopped up vegetables and slowly stirred them into a tomato sauce she had simmering on the stove. Turning back to Marcos, she added, "Trust me. Three months from now, the stuff that kicked your ass today is going to seem like a walk in the park. And you're gong to be happier for it."

Natalia headed to the refrigerator and got out a pitcher of water. "I like a little lemon in my water. How about you?"

He couldn't help but turn and watch her as she marched to the fridge. Everything she did seemed so disciplined and regimented

"Yeah a twist of lemon is good" he said as he found himself wondering what kind of guy would she keep around, she definitely seemed like she would be the one to wear the pants

"Well if I look half as good as you do by the end of the summer I'll call it a success" he said as he stretched his sore arms.

"I don't know if I'm gonna be able
To move tomorrow. Does that mean I can skip the morning run?" He asked with a hopeful smile as he returned to the table

"Ha! Flattery will get you nowhere. And you think you're sore now, just wait until the morning, when you wake up," she replied, as she got a fresh lemon and cut it open. She squeezed a few drops into the pitcher, then took the pitcher to the table. "Don't worry, a few stretches and some light jogging, and you'll feel human again."

As she set everything on the table, she asked, "So what would be a dream job for you? I know what you want to head way from, but what do you want to head to?"

He chuckles at her response. She was right, he probably wouldn't even be able to get out of the bed in the morning.

"Crap I hadn't even thought of that" he said in a voice heavily laden with grief and wariness as he he looked up at her. Her casual kindness and Latina beauty shining past his suspicion and wariness of someone his father would send.

"I dunno. I like games and computers. I had always hoped to it could become a life. But I don't know much about programming or any of that shit" he told her as he dove into his food, ravenous with the day's exertions.

"It seems like it would be cool to do though. What about you. What are you gonna do after this summer?"
