Anna lived in a small village in the middle of the woods. It was the beginning of the harvest and therewould be a festival that night. She put on her red cloak ad went into the woods to gather berries for the evening. She enjoyed the woods, quiet and lonely. It was a place where she could think and relax witout being distubed.

The day went on and it was growing darkwhen she decided to return home. She heard a rustle of leaves and turned around but no one was there. She shook her head and hurried on the trail. Soon she reached her grandmother's house on the edge of the village and went inside. Her parents had died long ago, her mother killed by a wolf and her father murdered by some traveler. Grandma was the only family she had.

She called out but received no answer. Grabbing knife she went to the bedroom and slowly opened the door. The woman was lying in bed with a tall, strong, young man's mouth at her throat. As she watched, the man stood up, his teeth covered in blood, and turned towards the door, noticing her.

She slammd it and ran to the village to get help, and saw blood being drained from the villagers. She was unsure where to go when someonepicked her up and threw her a few yards. She heard bones snapping and screamed in pain. She was bleeding in several places. As she watched, the vampire who murdered her grandmothe approached smirking.

She cried from pain as the man picked her up and pushed her against the wall. He began licking she blood as her feet dangled off the ground. He pulled up the skirts of her fress while one hand lifted her by the throat. She squirmed as he pulled down his pants and got ready to thrust inside o her.

Suddenly, she fell to the cold, hard ground as something tackled the vampire. She could hear fighting around her but shut her eye and curled into a ball. Finally, someone picked her up and began to carry her. "Any other survivors?"

"None. We were to late."

Then she fainted.

(Appears you could use some assistance.)

Yoor...

Yes, that was his name. Yoor *scratch shoulder* *growl softly*. He and his pack had roamed these woods since time immortal... its true owners. His Alpha, and the Alpha before him, and on and on through the line, had carried that tradition forward, spreading The Gift. Unlike the White Ones, though, they where not savage; they hunted the animals humans did, spreading their gift to their offspring, not victeams. It was a true noblity they could never understand...

Tonight was just another example of it. The High Ones where out on the nightly hunt... as they usually where, the males of the tribe. Yoor himself wasen't the best hunter... he only stood 6' 5, a good three inchs short of his brothers, and was a good deal less powerful, as his first rut had yet to come. However, he was still thick, strong, with a scruffy layer of jet-black fur between him and the fangs. His two Brothers with him today had been chasing after a good set of deer when... they caught the smell. It was wood fire, the human village, no doubt. It had been a long time since they had raided that place... though there where others they where less scruploius over, who had hunted them first. The three arived only to catch the White Ones in their orgy of slaughter, draing the blood and innocence from the village.

Driven to action almost by instinct, the three had attacked, the small cloven catching their presence only with the bloodless ribbons of two of their warriors, claw and jaw taking them down. The battle would be easy enough, in the open and with the moonlight on their side; the full moon was out tonight. However, as Yoor's last prey fell, he noticed one of the girls was still alive... he could smell the fear on her. Hoisting her up, a bit roughly, he bounded out of the place, his innate sence of direction leading him home.

However, he was forced to stop after a moment... the scent of blood diden't do him well. Slowly, he felt the beast rise, and only had enough set the girl down gently before shifting, skin and bone jolting at the transformation into beast.

Anna cried out from pain as someone picked her up. She had a broke wrist and a twisted ankle, but her head was bleeding since the vampire had thrown her. She closed her eyes, warmed by his arms. She opened her eyes a little as he ran from the village an a speed that no human could match.

Finally they stopped, and she felt him laying her down gently on thee grass. She looked up again, ready to thank her rescuer when she noticed his body changing. She suppressed a scream and ignored the pain as she sat up. Moments later a huge wolf had appeared in front of her.

Anna looked into the wolf's eyes while she wrapped her cloak around herself, shivering. She nervously reached out a hand and stroked the wolf's fur. Strangely, the wolf didnt frighten her too much. She loved wild animals and wolves were no different. But none had ever come so clse.

The transformation rattled his brain as he tried to come to grips with the new form, rewiring himself to deal with the movements. This was one of the reasons werewolves tried not to transform outside of the full moon; the moon helped focus their power. However, it also occasional made them transform unbidden... such where the issues of life. However, he adapted himself quite well, gaining his balance as the girl slowly regained control of herself, their eyes meeting. He could see the pain... smell the blood. The animail's desire of feed was there, his mouth almost started slavering at the helpless "prey", but he held himself back, approching her calmly, even allowing her to touch him as he brough his nuzzle up, lapping away at the head wound, the lycanthropic salavia triggering weak healing.

After doing this for half a minute, he took a step back, looking her straght in the face. Don't worry, little one he projected his voice, noble, if a little uncaring... telepathy wasen't good for emotions. You're safe now. Leaning foward, he licked at the scratch on her face, the minor wound knitting itself instantly.

The way she shook under his tounge reminded him how cold it would be for these furless. Walking around, he settled himself about her flanks, letting the heat radiate from his body before he forced himself stop, settling into her lap.

Go to sleep, soft one He told her, paws resting over her legs. It is not safe to carry you by moonlight. We shall travel when the sun takes them away. With a soft growl, he kept his eyes to the darkness, looking for signs of the White Ones while feigning sleep.

(Just thought of something. Does your name have anything to do with the myth of Theseus?)

Anna was surprised hen the wolf began to lick her wounds, healing them as he did so. She relaxed, scatching his head, allowing herself to forget about what had happened for the moment. She smileda little, running her fingers through the wolf's soft, warm fur.

The wolf took a step back and it seemed to be looking her straight in the eye. At that moment, she hard a voice inside her head, and she realized he was no ordinary wolf. Don't worry, little one. You're safe now. She shivered as his tongue licked another wound, closing it. Wolves were beautiful creatures, and he was no exception.

She watched as the wolf sat down in her lap, warming her, keeping her from shivering and trembling. Her eyes were starting to close, and she felt herself growing weaker.
Go to sleep, soft one He told her, paws resting over her legs. It is not safe to carry you by moonlight. We shall travel when the sun takes them away.

"Thank you" she said quietly, petting him again. She laid back down again, resting her head in the grass. Her breathing slowed and her eyes closed as sleep came over her. She was safe with the wolf. No one was going to hurt her.

(I wasen't thinking that, but now that you mentioned it, I can see how you got there)

That night crept on slowly...

It was rare that a younger pack-man like him would ever have to stand guerd. They had the older ones for that; less energetic, but more in tune with the land. It was a long job, and a boring one, the desire to hunt pinching on his brain... but he had to stay still, at least for now. His eyes keep to the darkness... he continually saw no White Ones... but much prey. The night crept on, until, finnaly, the warm rays of the sun started to fall on his back, the girl beneth him still resting peacefully, unmoving.

Leaping of her, he landed in the grass and brought forth his will, straining the rear muscles of his legs. Sure enough, the transformation began... and the pain that came with it. However, he was soon his his hybred form once again, towering over her, but still easily recognizable as the wolf. Reaching down, he took her up into the cradel of his arms, placing her head into his chest as he started walking... well, it was more of a human run, but easy as walking. The woods passed them, his face silent and aimed ever homeward, the faint smell of his packmates leading him home.

At the edge of the camp, however, he stopped, shifting the girls face so she was looking into his. "Little one," He spoke this time, physically. "I feel that I must tell you that our camp isen't meant for your delicate body and morality. I can bring you to other Furless if you wish..." he paused, a creep of fear coming into otherwise confident eyes. "The White Ones will drink them soon as well. If you do come with us, however..." He looked down on her torn cloathing... the symbol of mankind. "Your furs must be removed., and you must ride my heels or over my back."

Anna slowly opened her eyes and quickly realized someone was carrying her. He was... running or walking? At times it seemed lik either one. She curled up against his chest, holding her broken wrist. Her body still felt bruised and broken, but less painful than before. The woods seemed like a blur as he hurried further from her home. She studied his face. He was a man, but something about him was similar to the wolf she'd seen earlier. Her brain seemed muddled, and not much was making since. A wolf-man? Men drinking blood, stronger than any warrior she'd seen?

Finally, they came to a stop. Her eyes met his and she almost gasped when she saw his face, finally able to focus her eyes. She almost reached out to touch his cheek. He was more handsom than any man she'd met, from her village our outside. "Little one," He spoke this time, physically. "I feel that I must tell you that our camp isn't meant for your delicate body and morality. I can bring you to other Furless if you wish..." His eyes flickered for a moment with some hint of fear or worry. Furless... She felt confused but continued to listen. "The White Ones will drink them soon as well. If you do come with us, however... Your furs must be removed., and you must ride my heels or over my back."

His words confused her, but she understood returning wasn't safe. Whoever attacked her village were powerful, and she knew she wouldnt survive if she saw them again. "I'll stay." When her feet were again on the ground, shelowered her eyes and began removing her clothing. She blushed, shivering in the cold air. She glanced at the cloak, the only thing she had left to remind her of her family. She avoided his eyes, not used to being so exposed, especially not in front of a man

He could see, smell the fear on her. Yet, it seemed half a shock... she was young though. Perhaps she had yet to see a werewolf? Or, perhaps all Furless where like this; he himself had truely hardly seen them himself. "You must understand," he streched up his arms, working the muscles back to their proper place. "My people are not fond of your kind." Thinking nothing of it, he approched, placing himself to her back as he saw her start to shiver. "While we are certainly less savage then the White Ones, bad blood still runs deep. If you do not appear my captive... well, there are no laws against eating you." Patting her head lightly, he gently slipped off the cloack, catching a long nail scratch on the back of her neck, healing it up with his tounge.

"Now, remain down." Firmly, he lead her to her knees, prodding rather then forcing. "I do this only for your own safty. Now, come."

With that, he started walking foward, taking slow strides so she could keep up,

"You must understand," he streched up his arms, working the muscles back to their proper place. "My people are not fond of your kind." She nodded, wrapping her arms around her body to keep herself warm. She relaxed a little as he went behind her, remembering he had saved her life. "While we are certainly less savage then the White Ones, bad blood still runs deep. If you do not appear my captive... well, there are no laws against eating you." She looked up at him, her eyes filled with questions. She felt him pat her head and slip off the cloak, leaving her shiverig. She closed her eyes as he licked her neck. She remembered how her attacker had thrown her, picking her up by the neck and tossing her.

"Now, remain down. I do this only for your own safty. Now, come." She got to her hands and knees, following hi, but being careful not to put her broken wrist on the ground. She followed close behind him into the camp, blushing and shivering. It was so cold... She avoided all eyes, her natural shyness making her nervous.

He kept her close to his heels, never looking down as the camp came into veiw. On the surface, it diden't look like much; a couple of wooden longhouses, a large firepit, some lean-touns with benchs inside, and a hill with a few holes in it. However, it was those holes that held the real space; the living dens and birthing dens and Alpha's den. The outer buildings where mostly for crafting and recreational purposes.

At this time, a few of the wolves where out and about. Most of them where a bit taller then himself... but they payed a heavy price for it. Their wildness ran a bit too thick; faces somewhat monsterious, shoulder haunched, and muscles like slabs rather then carved. Some where handsome, others weak and small; but all where black furred and all where male. The bitchs where all kept in the dens... the Gift played merry hell on there minds, and they where somewhat passive and weak-minded. This was why it was so strange to have one who could speak.

The attention of the camp came on him as he approched however, a number of the more senior members stalking over and looking him straght in the eye. "What is it you bring to our camp, brother?" One asked, leaning over to take a good look at her with is protruding fangs. "She looks... filling."

"This Furless bitch was a survivor of a recent assult by the White Ones," Yoor responded, leaning down a paw to her shoulder. "She came into my possesion when I slew the one about to drain her. She is not for the fires." His words where plain, direct... only the most stupid woulden't understand, and his brothers where anything but stupid.

"Then is she for your rut?" Another asked, jokingly.

"In time, perhaps." Yoor responded with a shrug. "The Alpha must be informed of all she has seen first. There are still things of our enemy we might yet learn." Of course, it was he trying to dodge the question; the others had rutted already, as their much more... powerful members stood testiment to. It was somewhat of a shame he haden't convinced the Alpha to grant him his own yet... and they knew it.

Anna looked at the others around the camp. She saw several staring down at her, and she blushed before looking away. She noticed sadly that there were no women, at least not that she could see. Many wew a couple of feet taller than her, and clearly much stronger, even the weakest ones. She noticed a few buildings, but knew this couldn't be where the majority lived. It was much to small for all of them.

She stopped crawling as some of the older ones came closer. She moved closer to her rescuer, growing nervous as they got close to her. She made attempts to cover herself, But it was difficult to hide everything without clothing. She shivered as the wind began blowing again. "What is it you bring to our camp, brother?" She looked into the wolf's eyes as he stared down at her. She noiced sharp fangs in his mouth and did her best to stay calm. "She looks... filling."

"This Furless bitch was a survivor of a recent assult by the White Ones," Yoor responded, leaning down a paw to her shoulder. "She came into my possesion when I slew the one about to drain her. She is not for the fires." She relaxed somewhat feeling his hand on her shoulder. She was safe with him.

"Then is she for your rut?" Another asked, jokingly.

Her eyes widened and couln't stop a word from escaping her mouth. "What?" She understood what they meant, but she had never had sex. She wasn't sure if he expected her to do anything with him or not.

"In time, perhaps." Yoor responded with a shrug. "The Alpha must be informed of all she has seen first. There are still things of our enemy we might yet learn."

A drop of rain fell on her head, and wthin moments, it was pouring. The rain was like ice
on her skin. Her teeth were chattering and she looked to Yoor, hoping they would go inside soon.
