Celluloid Nightmares

I have been hearing positive reviews for "Evil Dead Burn". I have not seen "Evil Dead Rise" yet. Is it a prerequisite that I see EDR before EDB?

Is Gator Face a remake or play on another movie? After reading the synopsis, the premise seems very familiar.
Eaten Alive (Tobe Hooper 🤩)

But I have a memory of a horror franchise with a similar premise. The victims were targeted for some wrongdoing in the past.

Will have a Google later and see if I can find it... may well have been a dream though!

Thank you! That was going to eat at me.

I should have remembered that. It has been a long time since I have seen that.

Saw a trailer for "Other Mommy" last night before "The Odyssey". It looks like a weird, cheesy horror flick. I will try to find a trailer and post it here.

But the one thing that stuck with me after watching the trailer was did no one in marketing think to name the film "Other Mother", or did they feel that maybe that gave off connotations about the 🤷‍♂️🤣

I should note, as of 7/20/26, apparently there is no trailer online to link. The only way to see it is prior to "The Odyssey".
7/21/26: Trailer linked in posts below.

I love all things Shark.
Whats a favourite or underrated horror of the past,
I dont think it really qualifies as "Past" because it was only about 10 years ago. But 47 meters down is under rated in my opinion.
What horror film stuck with you
The Blair Witch Project

And as a side note:
Slasher is a series on Netflix that I highly recommend! I was mad they never got past season 3.

FrightFest line up! 👆

Reckon I'll go for a Sunday day pass when the tickets are released.
Enjoyed Becky and Wrath of Becky so want to see the next one.
And Glorious Dead and Gator Face sound fun!
I go to film festivals as well and have been wanting to go to FrightFest as well. Maybe in the future! The line up looks good, I’ll have to make a note of a few films to look out for.
