...change the title of a thread?

I've noticed a lot of threads marked closed at the end, and I've learned why you do that. Right now I need to do that but I don't know how. I tried editing my first post and even went to advanced where it appeared that I could change the title but the change was only displayed once you viewed the thread not in the actual Title line as seen from the list of threads. Please help, thanks!!

You have to ask the moderator of the thread the forum is in to edit the title for you. PM him/her with a link to the thread and your request.
