Turns out my VPN was the problem for Imgur.

If that stays it implies they're going by something similar to this definition of nudity.

Generally, nudity is defined as the exposure of genitals, pubic area, anus, or buttocks with less than a fully opaque covering, or the exposure of a female breast below the areola.

Many include, the depiction of covered male genitalia in a tumescent or turgid state in their definitions.

Looks like it didn’t let me

So far, it seems that Imgur is the only external hosting site that is resolving. I have tried several, including some that I doubt were used here before, as well as my personal server, and they are not allowed, so it looks like the PTB are whitelisting rather than blacklisting as they were previously.

Also, I can resolve Giphy if it is in the [MEDIA =giphy](giphy file referecne) [/MEDIA] format in the message itself.

(edited to add) But it is the only gif site. Tenor is not resolving using that format anylonger.
