So, a couple of things I read and watched recently have me thinking about attitudes and relationships.

The first is about sex workers. I read in a thread on Lit, about a story and negative comments it received related to the main character as a married woman who was a sex worker. My question is, are there different opinions of sex workers in different countries? I know in the US, derogatory comments are often thrown in their direction.

The second is about casual sex for those over 50 especially women over 50. I could not find statistics but the YouTube channel suggested that more women want casual sex at this later stage in life rather than anything long term or waiting for the right guy or gal.

I might check in the morning to see comments.

This is kind of true, and kind of not true. I would remind you that it is theoretically illegal for organized crime to be involved in Casinos (and if you believe that really happens all of the time on the ground I a Bridge in Brooklyn that I would to sell you some shares in).

Several years ago I read about sex workers in Germany, and it appeared that their lot life was not really much better than American counter parts which surprised me. I think part of this is that the unempowered go into the trade regardless, and the majority clients still are not the nicest people. Also it's hard to regulate the day to day attitudes bosses have with employees, and consider the kind of "entrepreneurs" who are starting these businesses, also not the nicest people.

I am in favor of sex workers and casual sex for women over 50.

In my county the elected prosecutor has declined to pursue any criminal charges against any sex worker or client unless violence is involved. The county has more pressing matters he said.

I wonder what the data says about the well regulated sex worker trade in Nevada where its legal only at certain ranches. It is not legal in Las Vegas.

Considering that Puritan and other very religous groups settled USA, it is not too surprising is it?

We always have very few trick or treaters, even though the elementary school is around the corner and we have families with young kids on the block. All the action is on the main drag at the top of the street. We probably had a dozen kids.

I got about 2" of snow last night. What was unusual about it was the thunder & Lightning, we've had thunder snow before, but not with a light show, weird!

Thunder snow is very weird. I've only experienced it once or twice.

I've only heard of Thunder Snow, never actually heard it myself. It would be weird.

Of course, there are probably all kinds of natural weather events that I've only ever heard about.
