Chapters in a Series

I realize I could simply wait until my pending story is posted to see for myself, but I don't want to procrastinate on the chapters I am currently working on until that happens.

A to-be-continued story is submitted all at once, but within the text of the story, five chapters are indicated. Does the story get posted as a single lump, or do the powers that be tend to break it apart into a series of posts?

If you only hit Publish once, then it'll only publish as one story. Internal chapter breaks are up to the writer.

It sounds like all of your chapters will be a single lump, as you put it. Aside from occasional things like removing forbidden hyperlinks, Literotica does not do much editing of story submissions, and would not turn a single submission of any length or number of divisions into multiple chapters.

It doesn't matter about chapters when publishing, it matter about submissions.

I have submitted multiple chapters on the same day as separate submissions and they trickled out, being published day-after-day until the entire story was out. I have also submitted multiple chapters in a single submission and they got published together, as intended.

Basically, what you submit is what will get published. No one will combine or break apart chapters for you.

Deciding I would rather be right than fast, I took down the 5 chapter blob going up tomorrow and resubmitted them individually. To my surprise, the first one is still publishing tomorrow.
