I love FreeCell, though haven't played in a while. It's mindnumbingly addictive!
I'm a straight chick, and, hell, I wanted to bang MM. In a perfect world, I'd have her body. Well, that and my smart mouth and non-blonde hair.
What area of history was your favorite?
I used to keep a log of my freecell games, I'd record the game number and whether it was a win or loss and the score. I haven't played in a number of years. I used to play Tri-Peaks but gave up on it after my computer deleted my running total for the upteenth time. Now I'm mostly hooked on solitare and spider solitare.
I liked both Canadian and American history. I recently read a book about the mad trapper from Rat River. It was an event that happened in the early 1930's in Manitoba. It was a manhunt that lasted almost 3 months and pioneered the use of aircraft and radios to assist the R.C.M.P. and subsequent law enforcement agencies in such searches.
Personally though I preferred English over all other subjects. I believe that literacy is lost among today's youth. It is unfortunate that many adults from our generation, >I'm among the last of the baby boomers< isn't doing much to help.
It's "I'VE" seen or I "SAW" but never ever should people say "I SEEN" or say "Me and her" or "Him and Me" . You wouldn't say something like "Me went to the store and her came too." or "Him bought a chocolate bar and me bought one too.". I could give you more examples of literary errors but I think you get the idea.
The word "ignorant" is all too often misused as well. There is not one person on this planet who doesn't have some level of ignorance or another. We can travel to a foreign country and be ignorant to their customs or laws and make ourselves look like fools or, in a worse case scenario, get arrested. When people say "Oh he's just being ignorant." to describe a behaviour such as rudeness or disrespect they only expose their own ignorance. The best and easiest definition of ignorance is "I DON'T (or DIDN'T) KNOW." or "I WASN'T AWARE.".
I also think that people are too reliant on the spell check feature on their computers. It leads to laziness and an inabillity to discern between words such as "TOO, TO and TWO" or THERE, THEY'RE or THEIR". Spell check should only be used after completing a document to see if there are any typing errors such as the ones we can all make from time to time
I especially notice this on the net when people post messages in this and many of the other websites that I visit.
Come on people, take a little bit of time and effort to proof read before you post. I do so as I type because lord knows I could sharpen my keyboarding skills. And yes, I think I could work in my punctuation a bit more, especially when it comes to using the comma. But at least I make sure the words I use are spelled correctly because I learned how to use the dictionary. Furthermore, I sense the errors I make as I type and make the necessary corrections as I go along.
I't's not that hard to look at the screen once in a while.
Anyway, that's my take on things.

One last thing. It's BEER no 's' on the end. Whether you have 1 or 100 it's still only BEER. You wouldn't go hunting and say I spotted (or shot) two deers It would still be DEER with no 's', same as "BEER".
