I say that if all emotional assertainments have been made in a marriage and it favors love between two people then everything sexual should be an openbook to one another. Cheating in my mind is lying and sneeking and having actual sex, while your spouse is still faithful and loving to you.

My husband and I have come to the agreement to be faithful to oneanother, in that we never lie, or have sexual encounters in RL that disclude the other party. That leaves the option of openminded sexual encounters with oneanother, or satisfying our fantasies.

What makes it work is just that we tell each other everything. If I find a girl or a guy attrative, and he inquires I won't lie. He knows I want to get it on with Mistress and Jaded. He knows that I think PC is hot. He knows that I like to flirt with IFB. He knows that I want to be DP'd by him and Ewan...... or PC, and Dillinger.... He is fine with it, ( maybe not the actual act of it, but the fantasy) and when he looks at anal porn, and wants to do kinky shit, or if he saw a girl and said she is hot, I would never be bothered by it, because we are so open about it all and we trust each other.

When I first became serious with Wolford (hubby), I pulled all of the skeletons out of my closet. I also told him up front that I can picture being with him the rest of my life, but I'm not a one man woman. He smiled at me and said "Thank the Gods".

Now I'm not saying polyamory is for everyone, far from it. What I am saying is that my view on cheating is probably different that alot of others. As long as it's out in the open, how can it be cheating? And why is it when you practice polyamory people tell you that you're in need of some serious threapy, but when you fuck someone behind your spouse/SO you're okay? Never has made any sense.

I've been with Wolford for almost 10 years. During those 10 years I've maybe been with 4 people, he's been with 2. You don't have to lock up you children, wives, husbands or house pets. We're just like everyone else except maybe have a different slant on life.

Exactly my point. I'm a monogamist (I'm actually pretty boring sexually, especially for a porn webmistress - no swinging, no whips, no relatives, no pets...) but I respect the right of people to have "open" relationships. So long as everyone's open & honest & can handle it, no harm no foul. It's the lying that hurts people, and you shouldn't hurt the ones you love, no matter what the song says.

The only answer that I can come up with cheating and what it is is stupid. Hell, there is no way in hell I could do it. I know what it feels like when someone cheats on you and I doubt if I could ever put someone through that amount of pain just because I did something idiotic.

I know for certain that I wouldn't cheat on my girlfriend as I would lose the best thing that I have in this world and she would probably kill me. It is the craziest, stupidiest thing to do and I have to say don't cheat, you would be better off for it and there would be no turning back if you did.
