Choosing Your Battles, or Picking Your Poison

Anyhoo, on topic. Initially I thought this was the place to discuss the craft of writing, but soon realised it was more about socialising. I don't participate in or even read all threads, as they go down down paths I'm not interested (the use of adverbs...).

Others I read and abandon, as I deal with too many dramas at work for me to want to enter the fray here. As the title say - pick your battles. It's unfortunate that happens as there have been some good people lost to, in my opinion, petty bickering.

I never even visited this forum until I started writing, and I thought that you had to be an author to post here.

I post whenever I feel the need to commit thread drift. Fortunately, the late, great TxRad's The AH Coffee Shop and Reading Room is one humongous thread drift, so my misbehavior has a deserving target... most of the time.

I came back to Lit like two weeks ago and I have to admit that I took the discovery of both Tx's and Ogg's passings kinda hard. Tex attended a couple of Texas Litogether's around 2006/2007 and I was at both of them. He spent a lot of time giving girls rides on his motorcycle and drinking beer on the back porch. Good dude. I'll miss him.
