Clan McCallister.

Megan looked to the appretice and asked her to gather as many clean linens and a tub of hot water and have them brought to her, she continued explaining to the youn woman, "There is a poison inside of her and it needs to be purged."

Megan needed to work quickly, but she also knew she needed the druidess help. For only the Druidess knew what would heal her, and without her help Megan could only ease her suffering, but could not cure her pains. She feared that if the woman died, she'd once again see her life threatened, and Megan now only wished to return home, this foriegn land no longer a welcomed reprieve to her and she had seen the gentle looks and kisses exchanged by Beth and Gavin, so she knew her betrothal would no longer hold true.

Slowly and quietly Gin put his star back into its place on his belt. Gavin had been completely brought back from the druidic spell his eyes now no longer held the anger a firece distrust they had just a few days before. He now looked as if he had stared at the face of hell as it laughed at his useless attempts to return to the light. Yet he unlike so many others had succeded in breaking the seductive temptation of power. Gavin was stronger than even he realised, he was right about his men however Gin had seen the truth of his words with his own eyes. It did not bode well for the clan and woman he had began to grow fond of. He listened to Beth's tragic story of an incestuous relationship based on rape and force it seemed that she too had demons to sort through. The monks were rigth to send him here, he thought. Truly these people needed help.

Slowly he made his way out of the room Brianna was well protected and he wanted to check on other things. Quickly he made his way to the healers tent. Farchaira had been brought in with a sickly aura around her standard medicine could not heal her only a druid could heal a druid or herself but perhaps he could lend a hand. He reached the tent quickly and allowed himself to be seen by Megan, the healer and her apprentice. Megan was furisouly trying anything she could think off to help the druid, however nothing she could do would be of any use. Shadows and deciet recognized each others pressence a creature of false truths tortured the druids soul shredding it to peices. Quickly and seemingly from out of thin air Gin placed three slips of paper on her body one on her forehead one between her breasts and one just at her waist. He then kneeled at her side and locked his fingers in meditation. Soft blue characters appeared on the paper as Gin concentrated, he then spoke softly his voice echoing with it etheareal nature. "You cannot fight alone, use me as an anchor and pull yourself back to this world."

Brinna had known when Gin left she could no longer feel his gaze watching over her, and she felt somewhat alone. Even tho she was surounded by her people she new she was safe, but Gins gaze was different. She wanted to know more about him and where he had come from, but those questions would have to wait for now.

Brinna waited patently for Beth giving her the time she needed to calm herself calling over one of the serving maids Brinna had her bring some wine to help stedy Beth.

Beth

Lady Brianna's words helped some as did the fact of telling someone. Even if that meant telling the whole room of what she had done. Rohan was dead and there was no way he could ever come back. Unless... Thinking back to Lady Fearcharia and her comments about she might be able to do something to help the dead men. I wondered if maybe... Fear speared through me, could someone actually bring back the dead?

Looking up into the Lady Brianna's eyes, I felt a small sense of pride clan Douglas had made it. They had been here in time to help with the fight, and would be here for the coming battle. Lord Gavin was here as well, and he was more himself even if that meant she was to lose this man she had come to care for greatly. She was no Lady to have such a man as Lord Gavin but the Lady Megan she was someone.. I felt a small bit of jealousy with the thoughts that Lady Megan could have the only man Beth had ever honestly thought was honorable. Or that had shown her any kindness.

"Could a druidness bring back the dead?"

Connor...

Connor sat in quiet fury listening to his spy telling him that Brianna had indeed survived the assassination attempt darning the battle upon her keep, and that her clan was victorious in the battle due to the aid of her allies..

Drawing his dagger as he rose from his seat at the head of the table he slit the messengers throat, watching with little satisfaction as the mans body fell to the floor. Brianna had managed to escape him yet again... Releasing his rage he the sent the contents of the table flying across the room.

His men quickly scattering and leaving the room so as not to meet the same fait as the dead messenger on the floor. They new not to mess with their master when his temper arose none of them dared.. Connor pulled out a whistle and called Taten to him.... Taten i know your here come forth , Connor waited for him to arrive.

Once the shadow in strange clothing appeared Connor glared at him and said. We had a deal…. I Want Brianna ether brought to me or dead… How did she survive your attack?
.........................................

Brinna moved aside and sat down in one of the chairs near Beth and Watched as Liard Gavin moved to her side. Seeing the english lass and Angus Brinna smiled as motioned for them to come forward. Lass i am afraid there is no easy way ta tell ye this... but yer da is dead.... We donna ken how he died, but the fact remeains i must aske ye.... Do ye wish ta remain with us or return to yer own people? Afore ye awncer i wish fer ye ta think on it over night. There be manny dangers here and yet more ta come i am afraid... She said.

She could feel the phyisical strain of the late hour, but would not abandon Beth nor the any of the other's so long as they needed her. She smiled at the english girl and while she waited for her to speak she begain thinking of her sister.

Brinna wondered how she was doing and if she would be alright... She prayed that she would be but new that they needed to do something about the Druidess.. Looking back to liard Gavin she said seriously Liard.... Is there anything ye can tell me about the Druidess who posessed ye that may help us... How much time do ye think we have afore she attacks?

Gavin nodded, "I died... when Megan tore the Talisman from me. I could feel it. It had gone in deep, imbedded itself. When she pulled it out, it tore something loose, and I could feel it. Like life was literally pouring from me. Someone had taken a knife to my soul, let it spill on the ground. She promised to bring me back, make me whole again. She can, and will bring back anyone she feels is an ally to her cause.

"She knows I love you, and how much I care for you. She would go for the man you speak of. I saw him," Gavin described Beth's cousin, "He wants you, and he will stop at nothing. They are riding back now, with a recruit of Beth's men, those still loyal to her cousin. It won't take long, they should be here by nightfall. We don't have much time."

"Yes. I know. Somehow I know. Lady Brianna, there is nothing for me to return to. I have no family, no country. I can only beg that you deign to make me your servent. I know I can never repay you what my kin have done, but I will do all I can, all you command, to pay back what blood-money I can for it."

She slowly curtseyed, slowly because of the pain she still felt, and then bowed her head to wait Brianna's word.

Taten

His mask hid his face from the world and the glare he was holding kept safe from his "masters" eyes. To think that he would serve him? A man that had no true vision and could only see beyond the next border. The foolish man always plotting planning such increadible cowardice and the inabillity to kill on lone woman. Taten had no care for his squabbales nor any of these people, he had come to this country for one reason Gin must die. It was time to end this charrade, Taten folded into shadow and appeared behind Connor.

"I made no such deal with you," he whispered in his ear a dagger slowly pressed against his back. Taten pressed harder to put his point across and drew a bit of blood. "You asked me to kill your woman and I only said I would if my prey was watching. You need to remember that I am unafraid of you, your men would be dead before they even had a chance to know they were being attacked. I stay here with you now because I know my prey will come here to find me. For that reason you are kept alive, I need you as bait to lure your woman out and thus catch my victium. Never forget it you are nothing more than a bait to a trap. Sure when I am victorious in killing my victim you will have that land you so dearly wish." Slowly Taten pulled away from Connor folding back into shadow, his dagger still pressed against his back. The next time you blow that whistle and you are not in danger," Taten left his final threat unsaid and folded into the shadow completely, leaving a freightend and slightly wounded Connor alone.

Beth

"She knows I love you, and how much I care for you. She would go for the man you speak of. I saw him," Lifting my head quickly to look at Lord Gavin. His words, She knows I love you catching my attention. Gavin loved me?... When he could have Megan!

All else in the room slipped my attention, even the fact that my cousin was still out there and on his way to me. Secreting a look at Lord Gavin under my eye lashes, yes I could or did love him too. When or how it had happened I didn't know but thinking about it and now this, I knew it to be the truth. But he belonged to another...

Brinna hearing Gavin's words new they had not much time to prepare, before they were beset by another attack, and Brinna new that there wasnt much chance for her people if they stayed here to fight. They would need to choose another battle ground.

Looking at Gavin she watched seeing the way he, and Beth looked at one another she could see the love between them, and it brought a smile to her lips giving her hope in these dark times.

Clearing her throat to catch their attention her purple eyes meeting theirs she said. Liard Gavin.. Lady Beth... I think we should all get a good nights rest there isnt much we can do at this moment, but i think we should consider moving our people as quickly as we can to ether the Douglas or the Mclilloch keeps...

I am afraid that the McCallister keep canna withstand another seage so soon after this recent battle. There isna enough time ta rebuild. The Mclilloch keep would be by far our best bet as it is built inta the side o' the mountin.
She said remembering the few times she had visited The Mclilloch keep.

Castle Malebann was one of the most impressive castles she had seen in her youth, when she had travlesd there with her father and brother to build the alliance between the clans.

It had been liberated from the mountian, which also effectivly sealed the vally at below it at one end. The castle sprawled along the entire width of the closure, wings streaching east and west from the proper.

Its mighty towers made McCallister keep look like a summer cottage, nay... a childs tree house, it was an envailable strong hold. Shaking off the memories of the her visit to the Miclilloch's she waited to see whether Gavin and Beth would agree with her or not.

...........................

Connor waited until the assasin left his anger plain he didnt like the idea of being used as bait, but also new that the assasin could kill him at any given moment, and there was nothing he could do about it. With his men gone having left the room when he had killed the messanger he looked around for someone to take his anger out on.

Seeing one of the serving wenches cleaning the mess he had made of the food when he had swept his hand across the table earler he grabed her and threw her on the table. Smiling as the other servents scattered leaving the girl to her fait.

Ignoring her struggles, and screems he held her with one hand his strenght easly over coming hers, and using his other hand pushed up her skirt. Releasing himself he begain pushed himself inside of her. Her sturggles exciting him all the more as he pounded into her using her body to releive his anger, and frustration at having to wait for Brinna.
