Anyone have one? Anyone know of someone who has one? What their experience was?

We had some fun this weekend with someone who has one and just loves it, so my g/f is thinking about getting one and we wanted to hear more opinions from others than just our friend.

Thanks. :)

Hello. I haven't got one myself but my sister did. She always said it was really fun to play with but it often got caught on her pants which was uncomfortable to say the least lol. She had it for about a year and then took it out.

I think your right to get more opinions but my advice would be that it just isn't worth it.

My wife actually has 2 - the first one was put in too high, but she kept it and got one further down in the right spot.

This would be a clitoral *hood* piercing, btw.

She swears by it - once it healed, she found it a lot lot easier to masturbate with her fingers, and she once told me she could get off sitting upright in the car if the vibrations were right.
And yes, she's caught it once or twice on the seam of her jeans. Which hurts, but your skin is surprisingly resilient, even there - no tearing or anything reported :)

From my point of view - if I'm going down on her and I hit it just right with my tongue, it is, by all accounts, pretty explosive. But I've also found it annoying at times - it can get in the way if I'm trying to get at her clit, it can click against my teeth, and if you are aiming for the clit you can find yourself having to make much wider/exaggerated circles with your tongue to 'work round it'.

So, it's kinda a mixed bag - yes, it can *really* stimulate the ol' man-in-a-boat, but you do have to make certain changes to the way you go about things.
Plus, she can always take it out if she decides to - no muss, no fuss.

Care is basically the same as for any piercing - keep it clean with sterilised water, let it heal before you play with it, and do look after it.

I have had a hood piercing for many years - never had any issues with it. I love it and don't regret it. It is important to find a good piercer and figure out what jewelry is going to work best for you (after its healed). Mine healed very rapidly due to the amount of the blood supply in that area.

Owww ow ow...ow...from the sound of it...lol. I imagine the visuals can be pretty stunning though too...just like the bellybutton piercings. Most I know who have those have had difficulties with them as well. Owww ow ow ow...

Sorry....

Well yes I believe it hurt getting it done, but as a previous poster stated it healed pretty quickly - which I didn't expect, given the, well, 'moist' location.

Afterwards, it's usually pretty well protected - remember that the clit and hood are usually 'hidden' by the mons and labia, so to is the piercing.

I just had my hood pierced last month. It only took about two weeks to heal completely, and the discomfort was gone within a few days. I absolutely love how it feels and how it looks.

There *was* pain during the piercing, but honestly it was less pain than my helix piercings (upper ears) - just lasted longer 'cause the skin is longer! But the PAIN was gone almost instantly.

<3 it.

consider what happens to the vagina when you give birth... that part of the body is prepared to deal with major healing and reconstruction as quickly as possible to prevent you from infection and death after reproducing.

the vagina has some of the best blood flow in the body.

the vagina is self cleaning, and in fact it's bad for you to use soap down there.

god bless the vag.

I have heard that clitoral piercings can result in nerve damage if not done precisely, resulting in loss of sensitivity. The loss of sensitivity, can have the unfortunate consequence of leaving a women incapable of reaching orgasm.

That being the case, I would research very carefully before having this done.

Just my two cents....

Clits don't actually get pierced with the the hood piercings - its either a vertical or a horizontal (rarer of the two piercings because you have to have the right measurements/layout). It's a rare piercer who will do an actual clit piercing - the norm is the hood/skin over the clit.

I have yet met someone who has lost sensation due to the piercing. If anything I have met a few who could "overstim" due to the sensation of the jewelry rubbing on the clit. So logic says that you could grow use to that at some point and maybe lose some sensation. Rub harder - still worth the piercing if you are into piercings.

Got my hood pierced almost a year ago and it healed in exactly 2 weeks. It makes all the difference in the world where you have it done and by whom. The same person that did my tongue 10 years ago, did my hood, and explained everything he did as he did it. I felt a small pinch and 5 seconds later I had new jewelry.

Its been great except for the fact that I haven't quite figured out how to finger my clit when I play cause the damn ball gets in the way.

my personal experience is different because I never really diddled with my clit to begin with - it was the hood I always got the most stimulation from. With the bar through it, the sensation is VERY different, and I've had to re-learn to masturbate, but I don't find it unpleasant.

mine healed perfectly within about two or three weeks, and i LOVE it. I have a horizontal hood, and other than not really being able to put a barbell in it, i love it. i think it looks cute with the ring in it though.

i have been piercing for a number of years, and i have never heard of anyone losing their sensitivity through having the clit hood pierced.
there are a number of scare-stories out there with relation to different piercings - this is just another of those.

btw, there is another clit piercing called the 'triangle' which actually goes underneath the nerve bundle at the base of the clit. it's a lot harder to do and hard to place correctly, but well worth it if you have the right anatomy.

My ex girlfriend had her hood pierced and she tried to persuade me to get my done, but I chickened out at the last minute. May get it done one day though. I have to say, hers looked gorgeous and she had no problems whatsoever with it.

From a man's point of view I think they look so cool. I love the idea of a woman wanting to decorate her vagina. I also love nipple rings...no much for studs, but big or small hoops are great.

I had an experience with a female that had hers pierced and it was very enjoyable for me. Something about the feeling of metal down there was very arousing. It was interesting to feel the clinking of the metal in my tongue against the metal in her clit.

I plan on going in a few weeks to have my hood done. I'll let you know how it goes. :D

BME is awesome, but you can't trust all the stories on there, some people still confuse clit piercing (piercing the nerve bundle) with hood piercing.
Horizontal hood piercing is usually more for decoration as its hard to get the bead to sit right on the clit.
I had VERY delicate sex 3 weeks after getting it done. I couldn't masturbate and had so much frustration built up I came easily without touching my clit. I've never had a painfull snag on the seam of my pants, but the occasional pleasurable flick...
I also had it numbed. I tried without numbing it but my leg kicked when the needle was under my hood, and it was unsafe to pierce it with that going on.
