CNN Loses Two Thirds Of Its Viewers

Oh, that would depend greatly.. there are masochists among us. 😉
Yes, I know. I try my best to deliver as much tolerable pain as I can to those who gleefully sign up for daily doses of political flagellation. In that regard, I'm just a charitable public service. ;)

We don't want any illegal aliens voting in our elections, and we don't want them here devouring our safety nets either.
They do not vote in our elections, they contribute a lot more than they cost, and the country would in no way be better off without them.

Only five states have real IDs that meet the requirements of the save act.

That is kinda interesting. How does it work? How do you vote in the States?
For instance, we are in the middle of our parties campaigning the country flatter than it already is.
It is election time and we are going to vote in a week's time.

Which is pretty simple and straight forward: using our social security numbers and addresses, you get assigned at place where you need to vote (usually the nearest school). They open at 8:00 and close at 20:00.

You go there when it fits into your schedule, you are encouraged to bring your children (not into the voting box if they can read! Voting is strictly confidential).

But, I am digressing.

You go there - say your name and birthday to the nice people as the desk.
- they then give you the ballot note. And mark you down as "have voted". You continue to the box, vote, walk out the box, fold the paper and put it into a huge box.
Collect your child at the hall, where it has been fed candy, fruits.. and had a lovely time.
Because voting day is a kinda festive day.

that is it.

Depending on what time of the day you go and vote, it may only take a couple of minutes.

And we do not need to show any ID. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Typically you register at the BMV when you get your driver's license which requires proof of identification. The new requirements wouldl need something with citizenship indicated (passport, birth certificate, real ID with citizenship noted)

At the polls, you typically present a driver's license or a.few bills from your residence.to show who you are and they mark you off.

Thank you.

So you need to register, before you can vote.

That way you would not be able to vote, if you had not proved who you are beforehand.

Whereas here: you get a social security number assigned at birth (or when you gain citizenship), and therefore you do not need to prove anything. Just knowing that number is enough.

Yah, you would need a social security card here...I think that might work

Well, we get those sent to us.

But when I go and cast my vote? I usually only bring my keys.. walk to the school, say my number, get the ballot, vote, walk home - snacking the snacks I have been given, unlocking the front door with my keys. Home.

It is literally that simple.
