Recidiva said:Well, you knew it was coming. Either that or "no Social Security" at all.
caela said:Stupid question but where do they keep getting this "rich country" BS from. If we were rich we wouldn't have trillions of dollars in debt. It's a total contradiction in terms.

PoastMonkey said:Gross Domestic Product
caela said:Pfffffft, doesn't matter how much money you make...if you can't pay your bills you aren't rich. Richness denotes having an excess of funds. We have the potential to be the richest nation in the world certainly if the damned politicians knew how to balance a checkbook.
caela said:LMAO..."This is my baby"...gotta love it!
Recidiva said:That's pretty seriously messed up.
PoastMonkey said:This was an excellent debate format.
caela said:Agreed...just wish I hadn't missed most of it thanks to a massive blonde moment. Totally forgot it was on.
caela said:Nahhh...most of the men in my family consider their guns their "babies". It's really not that unusual a sentiment among gun enthusiasts.
Recidiva said:The "gun ban" is the messed up part.
I know guys who call their swords their babies. So I'm no stranger to weird weaponry. The way the question was phrased was creepy.
Recidiva said:This is cool. Watching now. Anyone else?
JazzManJim said:Nah. I'll start following things when there's a bit less than 12 months before the election.

Recidiva said:I enjoyed it for the format. Questions asked by people who submitted them on YouTube.
Very nice.
PoastMonkey said:Primaries are in February
JazzManJim said:*shrugs* And?
Look, I know right now that only two folks on that stage actually matter. Their party and the media decided that months ago. So I can wait until November or December to hear what they really have to say.
PoastMonkey said:I think just the opposite. Now is when you will hear what they have to say. By March the two parties will have chosen their candidates and all you will hear is the party line and promises that won't be kept.
caela said:That's all you ever really hear though.
