I never use shaving cream anymore, I found if it was on too long it started to irritate me. I first use my beard trimmer, and bring everything down to a reasonable length. It's hard to shave your face when the hair is long, same for the willy. Then I get into the shower. We have a plastic step stool that I sit on so I'm comfortable. On the cock itself it helps to be a little hard, on the balls, stretching out the skin is the key. I've also had to go over it a few times to be sure I get it all. Oh yeah, use a mach 3 razor or another 3 blade razor, it's much easier on all skin.

along those lines, what do you suggest for someone who is mildly (not yucky) furry from the chest down? I always feel like it looks strange when he shaves his pubes just a little bit around the shaft... and then he has a treasure trail that just... stops. Any ideas? Tapering? okay, I couldn't stop laughing at the thought of tapering, so maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea... I don't feel like laughing at him when he's nekkid.

Yikes! I've never caused any kind of serious damage while shaving. Minor nicks yeah, but they didn't really hurt at all.

As for getting REALLY smooth? I always use a fresh razor (or fresh blade) for one thing. For the balls, squeeze around the base so that the actual balls (testes) make the scrotum taut; that will provide a smoother surface for the blade to shave. I've heard that some women's razors give closer shaves than men's, but I don't remember which models. (Sorry.)

The main thing is just take your time. Don't be afraid to take an extra 30 minutes to give all your parts proper attention. I've been shaving down there for 4 years now. And I started when I was quite young (sophomore in High school). The first time, I didnt get a cut or anything at all. now I get a nick or a cut only when I go fast. This includes the scrotum (although I make sure I take my time there, youch!!). make sure you pull the skin taut and tight. and gently glide the razor across. If you really want a close shave go up, down, left right, then back down. leaving no hair remaining not only does it feel nice, it looks really good too

My personal practice is to shave my cock and balls and a small area around the top of my cock. I like the way the rest of the pubic hair kind of frames everything. I use a mach 3 and Edge Progel 2 times a week. Keep the skin tight. A hard on does help in that regard.

Hi, I'm brand new...my attention was attracted to this thread because I have to shave my cock...I'm built kind of wide/thick and the hair grows halfway down the shaft!
